I love the 15 passenger van. 😂
The pursuit of the unity, purity, and peace of the church is paramount in the life of the Christian. We would do well to test all of our actions against this standard.
I watched the second tower get hit on live TV.
I saw the people jumping off a skyscraper to their deaths.
I saw the towers full of thousands of people collapse.
It was terrible.
We should never forget who did it and why.
I love seeing the names of our seminary presidents speaking in unison on such important matters.

This day in 1572 Roman Catholic, French authorities ordered the slaughter of French Protestant Huguenots. This resulted in the slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent people. To celebrate, Pope Gregory XIII had a medal struck to celebrate the event. (See medal below)
I spent the weekend in Ripon, CA with a beloved supporting church. I visited, presented, and preached, and they hosted a fundraiser for us that resulted in thousands of dollars of support for All Saints. I praise God for these saints and so many others.
I find the term "Calvinism" to be generally unhelpful. It is typically poorly or simplistically defined, and too often used as a self-descriptor by those with whom Calvin would have significant differences.

Happy Lord’s Day, my friends. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Maggie’s fevers have subsided, and we hope this is the turning point for whatever virus/infection she has. The bronchoscopy procedure went well, and Maggie is tolerating the NG tube feedings ok. We continue to wait for the many, many tests to come back. Monday (tomorrow) will be the earliest we expect to see improvement in her blood count numbers. We are hopeful that if this virus is passing, now her body will be able to focus on cell production, with the help of the medicines.
Please pray:
- That her counts would recover
- For doctors’ wisdom on next step
- That she would start eating again

If the permanent Daylight Savings Time bill is passed, sunrise in St. George on Dec. 21 will be (*checks notes*) 8:27.
Perhaps @SpencerJCox would consider pushing for a time zone change.
A recent talk with a local church leader at an elder-led congregational church made me really thankful for the PCA's BCO. Set processes are incredibly helpful and important.

Maggie’s bone marrow biopsy came back showing very low production of cells. This is very concerning, especially because they don’t yet understand the cause. She continues to have high fevers.
We are very concerned for Maggie and covet your prayers for healing. We do not know what her body is doing or fighting, but we know our God Who can correct and heal.
Psa. 34:17-18 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

I can't really understand why the Belgians are complaining about having to play an opponent at full strength. Seems like a bad look.

Two hundred and fifty years ago, the Netherlands became the first country in the world to recognise the independence of the United States. Since then, the histories of our countries have been intertwined.
The transatlantic relationship is essential to our freedom, security and prosperity, and this has always been the case. And we know from experience that our shared history provides a strong foundation on which to build a better future.
My best wishes to the American people on the 250th anniversary of their republic. Here’s to the next 250 years of friendship and partnership between the United States and the Netherlands.
