Informal enquiries welcome
Our recent Chem. Sci. review article 'Encapsulation of reactive species within metal–organic cages' has been selected as one of the most popular supramolecular articles of 2025 based on a range of metrics. #ChemSciMostPopular

The group has a new preprint out on ChemRxiv, continuing our work into understanding intermediate-sized palladium cages: A framework for accessing elusive intermediate-sized PdnL2n (n = 8, 9) metal-organic cages.

Through the use of perfluorinated ligands to induce dihedral twisting in ligands, our group have developed the first stable Pd8L16 square antiprism as a new member of the PdnL2n family. Delighted this is now out in @J_A_C_S with work led by @09Soumalya

There is a fully funded PhD position in my group at the University of Nottingham.
Please pass this on to any final year students you know who might be looking for a chance to build some instruments and do some cool science.

Delighted to see our cover image out in the recent issue of @J_A_C_S highlighting our work on structural transformations of metal-organic cages. Like sand dunes that shift over time, some of the structures are transient.

Replying to @BenSPilgrim
@BenSPilgrim showing us how to use hydrogen bonds to control the formation of Pd2L4 lantern complexes with controlled arrangement of ligands. Comments welcome on their preprint! Cool stuff.
Catching up with former MRes student in the group Yucong Fan in Shanghai, now working at a chemical company in China. Thanks for showing me round!
On final part of trip to China I had a great time giving an invited lecture at East China Normal University. Lots of fun intellectual discussions with host Dawei Zhang m.x-mol.com/groups/zhang_daw… and former colleagues @RoyLavendomme and Lin Xu.
Fantastic time at @ismsc2024 Five days of phenomenal science. Thank you to all our Chinese hosts for their amazing hospitality. Will come home inspired with lots of new ideas.
Great start to my trip to 🇨🇳 giving an invited talk at Jiangsu Normal University, Xuzhou. Dr Yang Yang was an incredibly welcoming host yangyanglab.net/ A great day of exciting science discussions, wonderful food, and fascinating history and culture!
