To be fair to Dick van Dyke, we were told nothing about his Mary Poppins character's background. For all we know he grew up in Adelaide and immigrated.

Politics entirely aside as they should be, I hope Senator Murphy has a quick and complete recovery. He’s only 53 years old, this is horrible. He’ll be in my prayers

Prayers up for Sen. Murphy.
Breaking and very sad news -- Sen. Chris Murphy is hospitalized following a stroke, an aide to the Connecticut Democrat confirmed Sunday.
His staff began notifying people Saturday afternoon of the hospitalization and stroke, a person told POLITICO at the time.
“Yesterday afternoon, Senator Murphy started experiencing numbness in his arm while at his son’s hockey game. He was taken to a local hospital, where it was discovered he had experienced a stroke,” Allison Herwitt, Murphy’s chief of staff, said in a statement.
“He was transferred to Johns Hopkins for further monitoring and is responding well to treatment. The doctors are encouraged by his progress, he is awake and alert, and we are optimistic he will make a full recovery,” she added.
Murphy, who is viewed as a potential 2028 White House candidate, has been traveling the country to campaign for candidates, including recent stops in Michigan, Minnesota and Florida. He had been previously scheduled to attend campaign events in New Hampshire on Sunday.

The writers are hitting it out of the park this season, just one plot twist after another and they all feel earned. Really well done
This seems innocent enough.
If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa

The single, overriding question of our politics is whether Democrats will shatter our constitutional order in 2029-30. All other questions are secondary.
He can only see it as power.
A hearsay refutation? I don't just throw the word "Churchhillian" around...
On the eve of the eve of the eve of our BIG and important election, a unifying moment has arrived, our democratic nominee for U.S Senate disavows the Rebellion PAC ad made by Hasan Piker’s uncle that claims Jews are responsible for America’s economic woes. We have learned from party leaders and emissaries, as reported in the news media that he has.
On Sunday I will join with the Great Democratic leader, Jim Clyburn and Dr El Sayed for a church service in the beautiful city of Detroit.
The political coalition of Black and Jewish voices that have carried Michigan and this country through so many storms to the righteous path of liberal democracy and equal opportunity for all will ring out. Full statement here:

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

#twittersupperclub Leftover lamb kebobs with fried nan and mint yogurt. Last night I did thinking sliced onion macerated in lemon juice as opposed to sauteed today. Last night was better.
At the very least, we should allow people who live there to live elsewhere if they choose.
Last week Baylor fired their coach and UCF beat the number two team in the nation. Right now Baylor is beating UCF 27-6.

Kara Swisher adds DOGE's "Big Balls" to the Democrat target list.
"They could just pick a few people. To me, that's the way you go. You pick like a Hegseth, a Musk, and I don't know, Big Balls."
"Rather than go for Trump, go for everybody."
"Make it so broad that exhausts people who just do want to move on."
They're now just casually naming random people that did things they didn't like.
The ever-growing investigation wishlist now includes Trump family, donors, friends, supporters, allies and DOGE employees.
And it won't stop there.
