Three years. 17 medals later. Still on top.
Over 600 entries this year and we brought home 3 more golds, making it three years straight of walking away with wins.
At this point, it’s not luck, it’s consistency. It’s dedication. It’s legacy.
And I’m grateful to still be in the mix with so many talented cultivators pushing the craft forward.
When I choose my next smoke, the first box I check is bag appeal.
You can learn a lot from looking at the flower. Was it torched with nutes? Finger trimmed to hide PM? Harvested too early or left to go overripe?
To each their own but I know what I like. I don’t need someone else to tell me what good flower should look like.
This is one of my favorite. Show me a picture of your favorite 👇🙏🌱🔥
Strawmelon Juice grown through its triple trellis, stuffed full of colas end to end. I bet this strain responds well to under-canopy lights. (Day 34)
Added under canopy lighting to see how the plants respond.
Who here has experimented with under-canopy lighting?
Have you seen a noticeable difference, and what would you recommend watching for first?
Been around this industry long enough to know that a good salesman can make anything sound like gold.
Everybody’s got something to sell. Everybody’s got the next big thing. But how many are actually sharing knowledge, showing real data, and helping people make better decisions?
There’s a difference between a grower and a salesman. One wants to see you succeed. The other wants to make a sale.
Ask questions. Challenge what you hear. Do your own research. Don’t mistake confidence for competence or marketing for experience.
Not everyone on here is looking out for your best interests. Most are looking out for their own pockets.
Trust the work. Verify the claims. Don’t buy the hype.
What’s one thing you wish more people in this industry would stop falling for?
John Lemmon in the wild! It’s just green weed, but it tests so high in cannabinoids you’d say I’m lying. It also tests higher in terps than most. If higher terps are better, is higher terps and higher THC still good too?
I was lucky enough to tour Joy Ridge and their plants were absolutely dialed in. 🔥
Which brings up the age old debate…
Indoor vs outdoor?
A real blind taste test. Same genetics. Same cure. No labels. No BS.
Hand rolled and placed in front of you let your nose, palate and experience make the call.
Who’s winning ?
indoor or outdoor 👀🌱
Maybe we should spend a little less time being influenced and a little more time thinking for ourselves 🤔
I heard that this year’s Halloween party is gonna be a blast! Looks like the party is already starting 🎃
Last update pre harvest of volunteer under deck.
0 nutes. Hard clay. No special treatment. Pushed thru, grew past deck, now >9ft above rail.
Fresh lime smell. Likely 2018 Limelight aka Rockstar seed from DTLA.
Dusted w/ THCa×THCv male pollen from other proj.
May drop some free seeds to grow together & see what we find. Thoughts? 🌱
Update: She made it all the way up from under the deck, survived mop water, a vinegar deck power wash, and a nonstop assault by the kids to grow into the light. Even though she’s a volunteer and I don’t know exactly what she is, she earned my respect. Because of that I dusted her with some of the male (THCv x THCa) pollen my wife used to make crosses this year. She’s stacked full of seeds and smells like a fresh cut lime squeezed over grape juice! I’m excited to see where this goes. Since the original THCv seeds came from an open patent, I feel it’s best to share these seeds with anyone who’s been following this journey. If you want some, comment below and we’ll figure it out before the hemp ban on seeds kicks in.
Check out this beautiful thing. Creamy butterscotch, they said. I don’t know about that, but I like how she looks so far.
