Are you confident in your marketing budget? 📈📉🤔💰
Budgets going up? Going down?
What channels are paying off? What’s falling flat?
The lack of good data out there always drove me crazy as a CMO.
So I teamed up with Carilu Dietrich (@clu007), @jonmiller, and @rayrike to ask over 200 B2B CMOs what’s really happening.
The data blew me away.

In this episode we don't just look at the numbers, but some of the terms and structures in this IPO which, while perhaps commonplace in PE-land IPOs, were often new to me:
- Dual-class shares with 10:1 voting rights (not that uncommon) which gives KKR and maybe some others control over the firm
- Up-C structure (umbrella partnership corporation), which is largely about tax minimization
- TRA (tax receiveable agreement) that strikes me as a big deal with real consequences
And of course we look at the numbers, which were generally impressive.
