Picked olives for about ten minutes near al-Mughayyir today before settlers chased us out. First two videos I filmed during our escape. Third video filmed by our lookout: The bottom white car is us; the white truck full of settlers chased us from outpost on top of hill while black car raced down main road and tried to cut us off; after we got away, the settlers tried to cut off a black van carrying a father and young son. These settlers are hunting anything that moves. Final video: Hazem, born and raised in Queens, NY, explains what happened.

Twelve soldiers + police showed up in Taybeh olive field to stop a single Palestinian olive farmer from harvesting a single tree. After harassing him for 30+ minutes, a car full of some sort of special police officers stormed in and violently arrested the journalist/activist @the_andrey_x. One of the arresting officers shoved me, then showed me his bloody elbow and said I did it to him. (So if they take me next, thatโ€™s probably their pretense.) Second and third videos are other angle of the shove (including it here to be safe). Fourth video is from just beforeโ€”the major military operation to stop a farmer from picking olives. To be a progressive in good standing, you will have to be against ANY Israeli government.

I stood this week in the abandoned Palestinian community of al-Muโ€™arrajat in the Jordan Valley and cried. A community of 600 people is gone. Homes destroyed. A school and mosque in ruins. Olive trees uprooted. Family after family driven from their land by years of settler violence and intimidation. I thought of my great-grandparents, who fled persecution in Czarist Russia and made aliyah to Palestine in the 1880s. How can Jews who know so intimately what it means to be driven from our homes stand by while other Jews do this to another people? Moral outrage is not enough. Israel must enforce its own laws. If it will not, international courts must act. Those who organize, finance or facilitate forced displacement should be held accountable โ€“ sanctioned by the U.S. and other governments or brought before international justice. Recognizing Gaza as a genocide wouldn't inflate the concept of genocide, because it's very rare for militaries to do what Israel did. Indeed, contrary to charlatans like @mrandrewfox who think these demographics exonerate Israel - it's extremely rare for militaries to kill 4% of a population in two years, kill over 20,000 children in 2 years, and mostly kill women, minors, and elderly. (Adult men are usually the absolutely overwhelming majority of those killed by militaries; for example well over 90% of those killed by Hezbollah and Assad in Syria, both of which targeted civilians, were adult men.) It's also not remotely common for a conquering military to raze everything in the territory they occupy to try to make it uninhabitable and ethnically cleanse the natives, and to deliberately shoot prepubescent children in the head (a practice the IDF sanctioned after the "evacuation orders" were given). Israel was trying to destroy Gaza. That was the policy and the "outcomes" of that commitment are reflected in the results.
