Hey, thanks to those that have followed me as I'm sure most of the time you have better things to do than to read what I say. I hope above all other things we see UK democracy delivered, we may not agree on lots of issues, which is ok, but I hope we can stand together on that 1🙏

London’s economy is smaller and the number of jobs are less' thanks to Brexit, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said on the Today programme this morning. Is he right? No. Adjusted for inflation, the capital's economic output was 16 per cent greater in 2024 than in 2015, the year before the vote to leave, according to ONS figures published last month. There were 6.44 million jobs in London in June this year, against 5.76 million in June 2016 – some 675,000 more. But Khan probably had something slightly different in mind: he often quotes figures saying London's economy is £30 billion a year smaller and has 290,000 fewer jobs than it would otherwise have had – a qualifier he failed to give this morning. Those numbers are from research he commissioned from Cambridge Econometrics – but they don't describe a shrinking economy. Rather, they describe the difference between two modelled scenarios, one with Brexit and one without, each of which have Britain's (and London's) economy growing. ✍️ John O'Neill Article | spectator.com/article/what-s…

This is a total betrayal of Brexit Britain and his Makerfield pitch. He is also deluded to say immigration was different when we were members of the EU. We will fight this dishonesty.

My attempt at discussing what has driven violent riots & wanton destruction in France (not without interruption). I was also reacting to unhelpfully labelling Kemi Badenoch's mention of challenges of migration y'day, as a Trump-like dog whistle #PoliticsLive

France is in flames (yet he wants to rejoin the EU). Trump is selling out Ukraine, cosying up to Putin again A cost-of-living crunch is looming this winter, especially fuel bills. He still hasn’t told us how or when defence spending will reach 3% GDP. Inflation is rising once more, as are interest rates. Russian forces are threatening our infrastructure, especially undersea data and energy links. The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, our Gulf allies are under attack. And PM Burnham drivels about this!! It’s like the opening sketch from Saturday Night Live.
TikTok star Andy Burnham is back on TikTok displaying all his talents as an overblown local councillor, addressing the serious situation in Europe and how to stop the boats. Only kidding. He's talking about how to be good boys and girls on public transport. On TikTok 🤓👍

It’s pathetic on the part of @SkyNews What happened in France yesterday had nothing to do with the high-school students or the yellow vests. Knee jerk leftist reporting.
Are you not embarrassed by your gaslighting @SkyNews ?

There is only “legal uncertainty” because our Government unlike other countries won’t stand up against international legal bodies making advisory rulings which are not in the British interest. I fear Labour would do the same if Argentina managed to get some international body to say the Falklands belonged to them.

Every single sentence in your post is untrue. Labour’s 2002 ‘deal’ had very little long-term impact on migrants trying to sneak into the UK by lorry/container/vehicles. It simply moved from Sangette to other routes. Between 2014-2019 55,000 came in that way — an underestimate since many came in undetected and disappeared into society. Unlike boat people, nearly all of whom are counted. So it’s an obvious nonsense to say people weren’t being sent back because nobody was arriving. Tens of thousands were arriving. They switched to small boats when major advances in technology, perimeter defence of lorry/container parks and detection made lorries etc too risky to take. That’s why, from 2018 onwards, the small boat numbers grew fast. Nothing to do with EU, Brexit, Dublin rules, fairy dust etc. Why do you peddle such falsehoods?
2002 deal Labour struck with 🇫🇷 helped tackle lorry migrants. But small boats rocketed post-Brexit: 299ppl 2018 to 45,774 in 2022. When in EU, Dublin Rg was a deterrent as ppl arriving illegally wld be returned, so v.few came. We didn't send them back because they weren't here

The BBC has been accused of “brainwashing” children after a Mail on Sunday investigation found that BBC Bitesize was promoting what it described as “extreme” left-wing views on migration, Net Zero and inequality to millions of pupils. One online game, Increasing Immigration, rewards players for choosing “open borders” and granting an amnesty to illegal migrants. The site also labels concerns that migrants may take local jobs as “prejudiced” and highlights the economic benefits of migration. Pupils are encouraged to campaign for controversial Net Zero policies and join human rights groups such as Amnesty International. The site also praises Black Lives Matter and left-wing activists such as Greta Thunberg. These are deeply alarming revelations. They add to concerns about the BBC’s political impartiality, particularly following a series of scandals, including its editing of a speech by President Trump. Read more below in @DailyMail 👇

This is incredible. An Algerian Hamas supporter who became an illegal overstayer in Britain, lied to immigration officers about it, and went to prison for it, is now in a senior role at the BBC. Because the Tories and Labour failed to deport him. Hicham Yezza has a long record of supporting Islamist violence. He was arrested in 2008 for possessing an al-Qaeda terrorist training manual. He came to Britain on a visa that expired in 2003. He stayed anyway. When immigration officers caught up with him, he told them his passport with the visa stamp had been stolen. They found it in his flat. A jury convicted him of deception. He was jailed for nine months. Then he won his appeal against deportation, and was later handed British citizenship. Now he’s the Principal Data Scientist in the BBC’s “Responsible AI” division, helping to decide how AI shapes what BBC News tells you. Before that he worked at BBC Monitoring, briefing BBC journalists on the Middle East. Can you guess what kind of briefings he gave them? He should never have been allowed to stay. Under Reform, people like him never will be. Under Operation Restoring Justice, we will detain and deport anyone who broke into our country. Our borders will mean something again.

This is Mohammed Yaseen. He was part of Al Qaeda and ISIS. He’s been accused of assisting bombings and beheadings. He was jailed in Germany, and then came here by boat. He was just freed having served 6 months in prison. He’s already broken his licence. This is what the Tories and Labour have done.
