P21-high cell clearance⏫ full-thickness skin wound healing🐭(till D12)
⏬Dermal fibroblast
⏬Collagen deposit
#Xenium
p21-CreERT2::tdT::DTA🐭
p21-high (tdT+) cells are induced & constitute 7% (mainly fibroblasts #EndothelialCell M1Mφ granulocyte/lymphoid cell) of all wounded skin cells
vs p16-hi cells▶️only 0.5% cells
p21-hi cells are all enriched in transcripts of PDGFA (similar to previously reported p16-hi cells in wounded skin) MMPs TGFb1/3 MCP1 MIP2 +⏫#DNADamage ⏫1.7-fold cell size
vs p16-hi cells have a distinct transcript profile
Any impact of p21 cell clearance on #HairFollicle regeneration?😆
