Digital Sun has canceled the public playtest for ReVamp because it fears AI tools could be used to reverse-engineer and clone the game. The first test will now be limited to a small group through Discord, starting October 29, with the public playtest planned for around January. Digital Sun said: “We’ve been concerned by the recent news of games being reverse-engineered, cloned and published before the original is even out.” “Showing games early is how indies get seen and find the fans who keep us going.”

Nickelodeon schedule: October 19-25, 2026. Crazy that there's no SpongeBob on weekdays outside 6:30a. Went from airing 5 hours a day to barely airing at all. This network is inconsistant and can make changes like this so suddenly. Also just 14 episodes for the mascot.

I do think the concept of vigilante superheroes is outdated. They were made in an era where violent crime was wildly more common than today and it's becoming increasingly difficult to consider them without thinking in larger more structural terms.

The Lanterns discourse has revealed a troubling flaw in how some folks understand stories. If a writer uses exposition to explain a plot point that doesn't make sense or needs to explain it after the fact, that's not "nuance." It's a contrivance, a shortcut by the writer to pretend the illogical is logical. Unfortunately, too many people are conditioned to accept the exposition because the writers are the authorities in the story creation, so "they must know what they're doing." Please, hear me on this. If a plot point doesn't make sense, the writer did a bad job. It really is that simple.
