The EU 🇪🇺 wants to charge people its 'own taxes' on top of what national govts levy. Along with an annual EU membership fee of £1000 per household, this is another good reason to make the most of staying out! politico.eu/article/eu-must-…

Higher tax rates will reduce revenue, boosting avoidance and the black market, especially on tobacco. Click on below ⬇️ in S. Express from us Ahead of the Budget, we warn that another tobacco tax raid will be a further bonanza for criminal gangs selling illegal smokes & vapes. Higher taxes in general can lead to reduced receipts, as people alter their behaviour. Legal cigarette packs cost £15 to £20, fake 'under the counter' ones can often be bought for £5.

Go back into EU with no Referendum: “get over it” says Dame Emily Thornberry Such elite and lofty disdain for how we voted!
'Get over it': Labour MP Dame Emily Thornberry's message on concerns about reopening 'divisive' Brexit debates. Thornberry tells @CathyNewman that the UK could re-join the EU without a second referendum if it was included as a manifesto commitment at a general election.

Support in France 🇫🇷 for leaving the EU 🇪🇺 is around the 50% mark ⬇️ ! If Le Pen wins next year, they may even get a vote on it? With Iceland voting against even going into negotiations, it’s not just Britain 🇬🇧 getting fed-up with the EU!
The German Bertellsman Foundation conducts polling on social matters across Europe four times per year. One of its questions is whether or not, given the chance, you would vote to leave the EU. France has shown 49%+ support for leaving, for eight consecutive polls.

Labour are just going to ‘Carry on Spending’ with borrowing and harmful tax levels to match. It’s totally unsustainable and won’t end well. The country isn’t prepared for what’s needed, and I worry it’s going to take some kind of financial crisis for reality to bite.

Brexit: majority UK support ⬇️ for staying outside the EU (top orange line). See the videos from our recent 'Brexit Unleashed' conference here: youtube.com/@tfa4freedom/vid…
Absolutely awful news for the rejoin campaigners. @OpiniumResearch has published its latest polling for @ObserverUK, which includes the question of Brexit preference for the UK. A majority *still* want to stay out of the EU.

Another ⬇️ Brexit benefit: UK Govt contracts to be prioritised for British companies. In the EU they had to be open to bids from Europe and we weren't allowed to favour British bids.
We’re changing the rules. When applying for a contract from the government there will now be one simple test: are you creating British jobs? And are you giving young people the skills they need for the future? These new rules will ensure the £90 billion that is spent each year through government contracts supports British jobs, skills and people in every postcode.

Talk of deals & pacts is way too early- next election could be 3 years away. Any possible deals will come late & depend on polling. May not be any? No Lab/LDem deal in 2024, but people voted tactically to get rid of an unpopular Govt. I hope it will be the same next time.

I'll bet EU President Ursula von der Leyen is "looking forward to working" with Andy Burnham. She knows he'll need little convincing to give powers back to Brussels.
Congratulations, dear @andyburnham, on your confirmation as Prime Minister. I look forward to working with you to strengthen the EU-UK partnership. For the security of our shared continent. And the prosperity of people on both sides of the Channel.

If Brexit is to blame for the mess in Britain, what's to blames for the mess In Europe? Even Germany is struggling!

23 June 2016- exactly 10 years ago today, we gloriously voted to reclaim our independence and sovereignty from the European Union. We need to keep the pressure up for the result of that to be fully implemented and to resist any 'EU resets'. youtube.com/watch?v=c120CRw_…

Rejoin the EU? ⬇️ Forget it, we'd have to: £ Join the Euro and scrap the Pound £ Be in the open-borders Schengen area £ Pay full membership fee: £1000 per home per year £ Take in compulsory EU migrant quotas £ Accept 1000s of EU rules passed since we left and all future ones.
BREAKING. @sandrogozi, President of the EU–UK Parliamentary Assembly and MEP for Renew Europe, tells me on the 10th #Brexit anniversary: 🇬🇧 🇪🇺 “The British had a tailor-made suit within the European Union, but they have now lost it forever. If they want to rejoin, and I believe the debate will clearly emerge ahead of the next elections in 2029, they will be offered a good suit, but not a bespoke one, or like the kind of tailor-made clothing the British are so fond of on Savile Row in London.” 👀 @Nigel_Farage @SadiqKhan

No, Brexit hasn't "cost X% of our economy" See below⬇️from pro-EU Economist magazine Since voting Leave, we've outperformed (in red) Germany, but less than France & way behind USA. But average-ish growth for EU is not enough. Need a higher growth mid-Atlantic/Swiss/Aussie model.

Andy Burnham is now the bartender in Labours last chance saloon Eloquent, but yet another Labour MP with no business experience, never had a real job outside of politics If PM, he’ll have to grapple with harsh realities and difficult, unpopular decisions.
