Start of 2018. Been busy updating the CRM to V2. Full size forms. Moved Web.Config to a table so users can maintain parameters. Added action based user permissions instead of Windows Groups. Now considering outgoing and also incoming email.
Currently testing Access DB using Access Run Time and .net timesheets on the User server. So far so good. No show stoppers.
Needed to create a script to add in history for records not affected by sql triggers.
Been busy using SQL Triggers to add a history to a couple of tables. Took some working out for delete as the trigger runs in a Service User.
On CRM V2 worked out how to link Actions to User Permissions. IMO better to show dim Action name rather than hide it to know its there.
Completing the CRM V2 update in .NET I found out what SQL Server Referential Integrity means when I inadvertently ran a Test script on Live!

Got an answer to my HTML5 query. My form is working now. Solution was to turn IE Compatibility View Off as On means don't use new features.
Working on HTML5 autocomplete lookups. Works on Dev wont work on Prod. Prod adds extra HTML. Raised StackOverflow question hoping for answer
CRM revamp using a tabs solution. The plus with tabs is that the tab stays on current info when a different tab is selected. Neat solution.
Currently busy revamping the CRM app with a new User Interface.
Spent several days getting app to use a new email account as original deleted. It was planned to take 10 mins, it actually took 7hrs+.
Authorisation by Activity functions now stored in model not DB. At login valid functions put in array for speed of checking.
Authorisation by Activity is working now. Functions and Roles are stored in the DB. Need to see if elements can be stored in Model.
Currently working on C# Authorisation by Activity to replace Authorisation by Role. Also looking at C# soft menus.
Prices and Quantity Breaks worked out but need the customer to advise on how this should be presented.
Working out how to display price lists and price quantity breaks on the CRM Branch screen so that Sales staff don't look this up manually.
Made the corrections successfully to the CRM in the Dev environment and then successfully applied them to Live remotely. Next is Rel notes
Successful training day today with one of our CRM customers. A couple of minor issues found and now corrected. Arranging next session soon.
Still working on the BHA website. Found an ASP page I hadn't updated so it contained the default Microsoft text. It is now updated.
