After more than a decade working with data and reporting, I can tell you: your data (quality) is sh*t. Their data is sh*t. Everyone's data is sh*t.
Hi @mm_itsmo welcome to the BI tribe. I haven't written any posts for a while cos I've been busy developing, but if you've got any BI questions I'm always happy to help
Bit late for halloween but i just found a calculated column with an iterator on a million+ row table

I don't like the changes to the expression writer in BI - rare example of things getting worse IMO.
You used to be able to find a formula with any text string - so DV brought up SELECTEDVALUE
Now you need to include the first letter: SDV - once great feature bit less good now

A client I'm working for has a really clever tip for their pop up filter menu - stick it on top of a full screen, semi opaque button, with action a bookmark that hides itself and the menu - hey presto, click anywhere outside the pop up menu to go back.

PSI for anyone using power query to get data from Compare Sch Performance Excels - delete the 'Changed Type' step - it's a hostage to fortune as it then means all columns have to stay in the file (even nonsense ones like 'Column487' that a helpful DfE might tidy up years later)

Turns out the far easier export to word template premium connector might be available to you depending on your Office licence - as usual with MS it's as clear as mud who has to pay what.
If it is then I recommend this video by @CurbalEN on how to set it up

The use case I'm thinking of is attendance letters: you select kids who've dropped x percent in a set period & PA generates a letter home for each kid
I've written a post on the new Power Automate visual - in it I say that it's the best thing to happen to BI for ages but I'm a bit more ambivalent now as there's lots of potential for schools to go wrong with it
It brings into focus the need for a joined up strategy linking
📈 Analysis to 🏃♀️ Action
It can be frustrating as I often work in an 'analysis silo'. Hopefully Power Automate will be that bridge and not a broken spam spigot
Here's the post, as always I'd love to know what you think, especially if you got other examples of PA in action
