THE WORLD (to itself): We really need to throw off the yoke of Biblical faith. We'll be fine. In fact, we'll be better!
THE WORLD (answering itself): Sounds good!

THE WORLD: Uh... what's this thing in my pants mean, and what's it for?

From Annie Sey: The Sey family would like to thank our brothers and sisters from across the world who have sent messages, offered prayers, and supported us financially through this very difficult time. We sincerely believed we were following the legal process, which we continue to respect. Sadly, Samuel was removed from the U.S. and is in Canada as of today, October 30. Although this has been devastating to our family and the outcome is not what we had hoped, we will trust God’s sovereign plan and work to reunite our family.

Without liberal immigration policies, a candidate like El Sayed would never have have had a chance in Michigan. THAT is why it's an existential issue.
Well, I just did my duty and went in and countered my neighbors.

Wow. Machen...or Spurgeon?
"What doctrine remains to be abandoned? What other truth to be the object of contempt? A new religion has been initiated, which is no more Christianity than chalk is cheese; and this religion being destitute of moral honesty, palms itself off as the old faith with slight improvements, and on this plea usurps pulpits which were erected for gospel preaching. The Atonement is scouted, the inspiration of Scripture is derided into an influence, the punishment of sin is turned into fiction, and the resurrection into a myth, and yet these enemies of the faith expect us to call them brethren and maintain a confederacy with them!"

I already had a number of written manuscripts narrating Jesus rising from the dead dating from ~2000 years ago.
Matthew is one of them. Luke, another. John is a third.

Which contemporary Christian am I quoting, who "can’t recognize the moral possibility of imputing either guilt or goodness, or the justice of inflicting everlasting punishment for temporary sin"?

The answer: NO contemporary Christian.
I'm quoting a contemporary criticism of Spurgeon, lauding "New Theology," as found in @NITW1 , Spurgeon: The Man Beyond the Pulpit (Nashville, TN: B&H Academic, 2026), 581.
As I often observed in Pyromaniacs and elsewhere, modern heretics rely on Christians not knowing history.
Their errors are like Jason and Freddy and Michael Myers, killed in one movie, dubiously resurrected in the next.
Only these peacocks present themselves as purveyors of the latest and greatest bleeding-edge discoveries... when in fact their teachings are just moldering corpses, long-since slain by our betters decades or centuries ago, now forced to quiver and jitter in a ghastly parody of life.

Spurgeon! Though it could just as well have been Machen!

IN MY EXPERIENCE, which is long but finite, any time someone has an issue with calling himself a Christian, he probably should not in fact call himself — or be called — a Christian.

Idiocy.
