Beautiful! 🎂
Last year, I made my own Twelfth Night Cake. This is an old Epiphany tradition from the British Isles 🇬🇧 that isn't common today. It's a large fruitcake, covered in marzipan, and then royal icing or, in my case, homemade fondant. It was popular to play games around it!

Today is the last Sunday before Advent, and in the 1549 Book of Common Prayer, the collect for the day starts with: "Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people" This reminded the English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to stir up their Christmas Puddings so the flavors could mature.
There are many takes on Christmas Pudding, but I went back to the source: Eliza Acton's recipe from 1845. She published 2 years after Dickens coined the term for this British 🇬🇧 yuletide classic in A Christmas Carol. Today's video is a collaboration with @BigSpud! See my bio!
