Double shot on this one. There was a hard leaner about 30 yards back behind the one in the foreground. I set it up with a shallow face cut & wedged back cut then used the one in the front one as a bullet. Bullseye. Sometimes it works.
Still about 20 degrees too hot here-
I’ve been trying to knock a table a week out for the VFW project. I’m covering some high-top old Government tables to make them look a little more Appalachian-Like so they blend in better with the rest of the building. Here’s today’s job.
You never know what you are going to hit at the gate in the 0500 hour on a Monday. Consistently, Wildly inconsistent.
It was a nice Sunday morning working on a little patch of dead trees leaning the wrong way. Back cut, face cut, and a little Massey assist to lay them the right way.
A little tour of the VFW. Post 12124, Meridian MS.
Set-up & cleaning complete. Ready for an all-nighter tomorrow.
Table #2 of 6 for the VFW. More re-purposed lumber that came off the mill several years ago.
Touched it a bit around the frame with a torch to get the look I wanted to match the rest of the vibe of the place. Still need the topcoats. But here’s how this one is coming along.
Very busy weekend. But I’m happy that Tess & the girls along with my buddy Gage take the time to get together and do the pumpkin thing. This started as jack-o’-lantern carving when they were in grade school. It has escalated.
Why is/are most people so negative on social media?
Not just Twitter. But on Facebook too.
If you are so miserable… put the phone down and go pick a person to help. Not one of those pubic things. But just someone who needs a hand.
It’s a healing drug, works on both ends
We don’t go out to dinner too often, just Tess and I. Mostly because we are collectively two of the best ‘cookers of stuff’ that I know. But when we do, I always get a Porterhouse or TBone. And bring the bone back for Mila. She digs it.
Needed a table top for the VFW for utility purposes out where I grill for the events on the back porch. Repurposed some light weight material from an old box spring frame set. This will look a little better than the old crawfish table I currently use out there.
My Dad. Getting ready to mow hay with the mules. This would have been the mid to late 1980’s. That sapling near the picnic table is now a 70’ oak.
I popped on here for a few minutes to catch up. I’ve been walking around in the woods on some untamed acreage. Thinking how to get all that I want to get done, done….while I’m still able to do it all on my own.
I think maybe a few of you need to take a walk too.
Chill everyone.
Contrails. Not chemtrails.
When compressed air is superheated & expands, it has the same effect as creating a cloud if there is enough water vapor available in the atmosphere on a particular day. That’s why you don’t see them at all altitudes.
Geez man.
She brings up an excellent point…
