One of my go-to sayings with clients is THERE IS THE TAX CODE FOR THE INFORMED AND A TAX CODE FOR THE UNINFORMED. There are a lot of uninformed people posting on X after the IRS released the tax brackets. A lot. @WatchTheBreaks @Steve_Grad

I don’t think you understand how taxes work lol. First off you get a standard deduction. Or even better if you have write offs, married, kids, etc. What this means is to use your example: $50k you subtract standard deduction ($16,600) IRS treats your income as 34k. You are taxed at each threshold. So first 12.8 you pay $1680 Next 21 you’re paying approx $2500 You’re paying around $4100 tax single with no write offs on 50k. An effective tax rate of 8%. You only pay the rate for income over the amount in each table. Hopefully you finish highschool some day and learn this.

Elon Musk reposted a message Friday saying that in hindsight it was a mistake for SpaceX to send Ukraine thousands of free Starlink dishes and millions of dollars a month in free service at the start of the war. What began as internet access for civilians became the backbone for autonomous killing drones. And now if they don’t support military use, they get skewered for it in the press. Musk has been consistent on this. He’s already restricted Starlink use for offensive drone strikes because that was never allowed under the terms of service. Ukraine got free satellite internet to keep communications running after Russia invaded. It wasn’t a blank check for military targeting. The free aid was generous. Turning it into a permanent expectation that SpaceX fund and enable Ukraine’s drone war is not. Musk is right to draw the line. He’s made it clear that saving lives, and humanity, is his goal. Anything that goes against that doesn’t interest him. Be thankful the richest man on earth has these morals. It’s a blessing.

This is a reminder that 100 Grand is still the most underrated chocolate bar of all time. It should be in everyone’s top 5.

Sotheby’s just sold Jodi, a Nanotyrannus (a smallish friend of T-Rex) for: *$47,000,000* High estimate was $9M. 2nd most expensive dinosaur EVER. I really think it’s because A) low estimate was very inviting B) it’s the perfect size at ~20ft This is going in a home, imo

The oldest piece in my collection has turned 227 years old. A letter to Capt. Abraham Shepherd from Alexandria to Shepherdstown, which was named after his father. In order to get free postage, Washington signed the envelope. Washington’s signature was graded a 9 by @psacard.

My dad is a retired UPS driver of 30 years and his opinion of the situation is that this is solely on FedEx and I agree. Freight trucks are usually rentals and that back should be locked at all times. The biggest thing is the pallet unload and it points to two people needed. Forklift moves to truck B, truck has much smaller forklift to move in the truck itself. Think about the speed here - less then 10 minutes to unload 3 or more pallets. The other shocking part is usually ups and FedEx have hoppers or even supervisors for high valued loads. I was told it would be unheard of for that much of a load to be attended by one driver.
