UK Parliament has mentioned Gaza more than the NHS or immigration.
In the Commons, Gaza racked up 9,228 mentions in roughly the first 10 months after the 2024 election — more than immigration/asylum (~5,700) or the NHS (~5,300).
A year on, it is still regularly debated: ceasefire, aid, arms, RAF flights, inquiries.
This is a conflict 2,000 miles away with no British troops on the ground, no UK territory at stake, and no direct threat to Britain.
Domestic problems — waiting lists, housing, borders — keep getting ignored.

I have just been talking to my brother in Paris. He has today, seen three examples of Gurkha security guards outside premises. They are English speaking and when he spoke to them they confirmed they were all former British Army.

That's what Behailu Naedw got for sexually assaulting a woman in Dyserth, north Wales. He only left when a passing motorist stopped. He has 10 previous offences.
The Daily Mail says he's "set to be deported". The judge said he has no power to order it.
He says he's from Eritrea (he's also claimed to be Ethiopian). He's dropped his asylum claim and says he wants to go. The hold-up is getting Eritrea to take him.
Eritrea stopped accepting returns in March. The Telegraph says just 106 refused Eritrean asylum seekers were removed in four years.
Plenty of foreign offenders said to be "set to be deported" are still here years later.
