Fin whales are the second largest whale after the Blue Whale and are still classed as vulnerable to extinction.

Fin whales are also harpooned by Icelandic company 'Hvalur hf' almost exclusively for the Japanese market which you may know from our campaigns 'Operation Mjolnir' (2018), Operation Northern Exposure (2022) and Operation Paiakan (2023) with Operation Ice Storm (2024) on hold for next year as no whaling has taken place in Iceland this summer.

As of today none of our electrical grids , or the transformers have been hardened /protected against either event . Lastly no one is talking about why we aren’t lobbying, insisting to have our electrical grid modernized.
