If followers get offended by my occasional vicious attacks on governments of different countries, understand I hate all of them, some more than others depending on their degree of malevolence, hypocrisy, brutality and tyranny. This is the fruit of years of study of human history.

πŸŽƒTaiwan’s Biosafety Labs (20 BSL3, 3 BSL4)☣️ Before our map showed 3 BSL4 labs & only 2 BSL3 labs. I suspected there are many more BSL3 labs inπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡Ό So, I ended up doing some research (as usual) Guess what? Our map now has 18 more BSL3 labs to monitor! xitter.cf/BillyBostickson/status…

Yes, "So far there hasn’t been sustained h2h transmission, but if we keep giving the virus chances, it is just a matter of time" And the more tinkering with the virus to assess pathogenicity in humans, the more chance there is of a lab leak. That's also just a matter of time.
There is something really concerning (and disappointing) going on in the US right now. A dangerous and preventable situation. Let me explain. nextstrain.org/avian-flu/h5n… 1/

I agree with Florian that we should shut this down. This is probably the consensus position among people who helped investigate the origin of COVID and among people who helped with the cover-up like Florian. We can have conversations about both lab safety and farm safety. Unfortunately, Florian blocked me for advocating for common-sense lab safety reforms and criticizing his role in the cover-up.

Harvard Study: AI Peer Reviews of Journal Papers Outperform Top Human Experts?! (When I was an editor for technical journals, I focused on understandably: often asking authors what their sentences meant. Sometimes, they did not know what their sentences meant. I wonder if AI also focuses on this aspect.) Free article PDF: gking.harvard.edu/peerless/

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.

One of the most underreported stories of Covid corruption is how, at the outset of the pandemic, as Fauci was launching his origins cover up, the Chinese used the now bankrupt Evergrande Group as a vehicle to establish a secret backchannel to Fauci through a donation to Harvard. To this day, we still don't know what the Chinese wanted from Fauci, what he told them, or why nobody seems interested in finding out. It's a totally bizarre story.
Liquidators of Chinese property giant EverGrande pursue Harvard to recoup donation ft.com/content/cbf8759b-ec19… via @ft Lots of US schools would probably be unhappy if PRC and US regulators worked together to identify donations that were made with money earned illicitly...

The same campaign that killed China's sparrows built a hundred dams across one province of Henan in ten years, the hydrologist who said the dams were too many and too weak was removed from the project, and in August 1975 sixty-two of them failed in a single night and drowned more people than any dam failure before or since. Banqiao was the showpiece, finished in 1952 to harness the Huai River, and when the Great Leap began in 1958 the slogan over it was water accumulation first. Reservoirs went up everywhere, built by peasants with baskets and shovels on the same timetable as the furnaces and the sparrow drives, to the same reporting standard. Chen Xing, the engineer who knew the basin best, said the province was building so many that it was raising the water table into the fields and the salt into the soil, and that Banqiao needed twelve sluice gates to pass a flood. It was given five. He was a rightist. He was sent away. The dam was called the Iron Dam. Typhoon Nina came up from Taiwan in the first week of August 1975 and stalled against a cold front over the Huai basin, and a year's rain fell in a day. Banqiao's five gates could not pass it. The water came over the top an hour after midnight, the dam dissolved, and a wall of water six miles wide and seven metres high went down the valley at the speed of a car, taking the next dam with it, and the next, until more than sixty had gone. Whole towns were under water before anyone had lit a lamp. The official figure for the flood is twenty-six thousand dead; the figure that includes the famine and the typhoid in the weeks after, when a province sat in standing water with the dead floating in it, runs to a hundred and seventy thousand, and some put it over two hundred. The Party kept it secret for thirty years. Chen Xing was brought back after the famine to say what he had said before, and brought back again after the flood. A sparrow weighs an ounce and a dam weighs a mountain, and the same men measured both by the number they could report, with the same result.

Of course @elonmusk is attacked with the usual hysterical nonsense by @TheNewsProfesor "What happened Elon? You’ve turned into a Russian paid Kremlin bot" xitter.cf/TheNewsProfesor/status… So, @elonmusk needs to be paid by Russia, despite his wealth, and moonlights as a "Kremlin bot"!
What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.
