Iâm so sick and tired of people blaming âthe white man did thisâ or âthe white man did that,â or saying the 3 letter network did this or the 4 letter network did that.
Ryan Clark, man up.
Thatâs life. All them damn tears and crying is crazy to me.
You played 13 NFL seasons from 2002 to 2014 with the Giants, Washington, and most notably the Steelers. You made roughly $29.9 million in the NFL.
Then you joined ESPN in 2015 and, over roughly 11 years, reportedly made somewhere in the neighborhood of $15â20 million.
You also started The Pivot, which is estimated to generate $3.5 million to $9 million annually.
Now youâre talking about seeking acceptance and validation? Crying about this and that?
Fam⊠man up.
You have your own podcast. You have your own platform. You can say whatever you want, and your audience will follow you. Stop acting like ESPN is the only place your voice matters.
Us independent media creators grind every single day. I put in 15 to 17 hour days producing content, and people still overlook what we do.
Weâve been in the same rooms as yâall. The difference is, we had to pay to be there. Yâall got in for free.
Iâll never forget paying thousands of dollars to cover Cowboys training camp as independent media, then watching The Pivot walk right in and get moved to the front because of borrowed credibility. Yâall got the exclusive access without ever reaching into your pockets.
Over here at Law Nation Media, weâve had to earn and pay for every single inch weâve gained.
Do you see me crying?
Do you see me complaining?
Do you see me whining?
No.
I get back to work.
If I had just a fraction of one of those ESPN or NFL checks, it would completely change my small business. But I donât spend my time looking for sympathy. I spend my time creating.
Independent media is always the way.
Nobody owes us anything. You build your audience, own your platform, and bet on yourself. Thatâs how you create real freedom.
So wipe them damn tears, get back to work, and go build your own empire. Youâve got the audience, youâve got the platform, and youâve got all the time in the world to say exactly what you want without looking over your shoulder.
The money will come.
Now go earn it.

Fun Fact

Charles Barkley calls out people who complained OKC was physical with Victor Wembanyama:
âYou people at home and tv talkin about they were physical with Wemby, man yâall need to stop it. Iâve been kissed harderâŠ. There was no excessive fouls. For you people thinking thatâs physicality, yâall need to shut the hell up!â

Hold my beer.... MJ did this in 10 FEWER FULL SEASONS:
- More MVPs
- More Finals MVPs
- More Defensive Player of the Year Awards
- More All-Defense Selections
- More Scoring Titles
- More Steals Titles
- Better Per-Game Stats (Reg & Playoffs)
- More times leading the League in Advanced Metrics
- More times making both All-NBA and All-Defense in the same Season
- Better Game Winning/Tying Shot Clutch Metrics
- Faced better overall playoff competition (Teams with a higher avg Win Total, Net Rating, SRS)
- Best player on the greatest dynasty of the modern era
- Best combined reg season & payoff record (87-10)
- Undefeated (24-0) when having home court advantage
- 24-1 in the playoffs as a favorite
There is no other example in sports where the player with inferior Rings, MVPs, FMVPs, per-game stats is somehow considered the "GOAT". Not one.
Michael Jordan peaked higher, was more individually dominant, led more dominant teams, and on a per-game basis, was simply better during an era where the rules were designed to undermine Wing players.
Lebron James, while great, simply played longer and accumulated more total stats and accolades
