The CRA is owed $5.56 billion as of September 2026 for ineligible COVID-19 individual benefits, with $2.91 billion specifically tied to CERB. But can’t be bothered to collect. Meanwhile… #Priorities
Meet Leroy. A specially trained Search and Rescue dog in Banff. He tracked 156 individuals, found 57 people lost in the wilderness, trekked 22 kilometers for nine straight grueling hours to rescue a 73-year-old woman missing in a snowstorm, located avalanche victims and recovered countless bodies, bringing closure to grieving families. Parks Canada has served notice that the SAR dog program is ending. Banff is already under the microscope for Emergency Preparedness. But this? Thank the Liberals $145 MILLION cut to funding. Carnage's cost saving measures WILL COST LIVES.

Anyone looking for an accountant job in Toronto? @KPMG_Canada in Toronto is claiming they cannot not find Canadian workers to fill 15 accounting jobs. Do you think there aren't 15 out of work Canadian accountants in Toronto? Mark Carney does. ⬇️
KPMG is trying to hire 15 foreign accountants in downtown Toronto at $80,000+ each. In four days, Mark Carney will let corporations hire high wage occupations from abroad without even trying to hire a Canadian first. Toronto’s unemployment rate is sitting at 7% with youth unemployment at 17%. KPMG should be hiring and training Canadians, not getting a free pass to bypass local workers.

Five to Six Masked Men Armed With Handguns Wanted in Violent Carjacking in Clarington A 58-year-old man was assaulted and robbed during an armed carjacking involving five to six masked suspects in Clarington. Durham Regional Police say the incident occurred Thursday, October 29, 2026, at approximately 3 p.m. in the area of Clarington Concession Road 4 and Elliott Road. The victim was driving in the area when an older-model black Dodge SUV pulled in front of his vehicle, forcing him to stop. Five to six masked men then exited the SUV and approached the victim's vehicle. One suspect reached through an open window, unlocked the door and forcibly pulled the victim out. The victim was assaulted before the suspects searched his pockets and stole his wallet and cellphone. Investigators say several of the suspects were armed with handguns. The suspects then stole the victim's 2026 Nissan Rogue and fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Police describe the suspects as five to six males wearing face coverings. Two were dressed entirely in grey, while the remaining three to four were wearing all black. Investigators are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage, surveillance video or information about the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Durham Regional Police East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 2765.

BREAKING: Pete Hegseth PUNISHES the poor sailor who jumped off a US Navy ship -- AND his family -- in a heartless show of cruelty and spite! Nicholas McKelvey was just 19 years old when he reached the end of his rope aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. He had spent 255 grueling days at sea, working 12-hour shifts in punishing heat, often without enough food, while his wife struggled to raise their children back home. He had missed the birth of his baby daughter. His mother-in-law was in treatment for cancer. And when he sought help for his deteriorating mental health, he says the Navy directed him to a chaplain instead of a mental health professional. Then, one August morning, McKelvey ran across the flight deck and plunged 67 feet into the Arabian Sea. A helicopter crew rescued him. But instead of treating his desperate act as a mental health emergency, the Navy accused him of FAKING his crisis to escape deployment. And on Thursday, the Navy moved to discharge him under conditions that will cost him his G.I. Bill education benefits – the very benefits he and his wife had been counting on to build a better life for their children. “They'd rather blame the victim,” his wife, Samantha Larry, told The NYT. McKelvey and Larry have been together since middle school. They became parents as teenagers, dropped out of high school and married last year. He joined the Navy in 2024 in hopes of giving his family some sort of stable future. What he found instead was life aboard an aircraft carrier whose deployment stretched to a near-record 322 days as the war with Iran dragged on. Food supplies dwindled. Contact with home became difficult. McKelvey told his wife he wasn't sure he could finish the deployment. “I didn't want to be there anymore,” he told the Times. “If I was going to die because of it, then that's just how it is.” McKelvey was not alone in his existential angst. According to the Navy's own report to Congress, there were EIGHT suicide attempts among sailors in the Lincoln strike group during the deployment. The Navy maintains that McKelvey deliberately jumped overboard to get out of his duties. Its records note that he wore a flotation vest and jumped when the sea was relatively calm. But one officer acknowledged in a report that the deployment had been so difficult it was “unsurprising that we might have a jumper.” Now McKelvey and his wife are preparing to return to Florida with their 3-year-old son and 8-month-old daughter. They're staying with relatives and in temporary rental housing while they figure out how to support their family. “We're going to have to pull out student loans,” Larry said. “It is essentially setting us up for just putting us in debt.” The Navy kept these sailors at sea for nearly 11 months, sent them into a war zone, worked them through punishing conditions and watched their mental health deteriorate. Eight suicide attempts in a single strike group should have set off every alarm in the Pentagon. Even if every day of that deployment was militarily necessary, the sacrifices these sailors made deserve recognition, compassion and care. Instead, when one 19-year-old father finally broke, the Navy accused him of faking it and took away the college benefits he had earned his family's hopes on. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth loves to preach his “warrior ethos,” but what kind of warrior culture treats a sailor's psychological collapse as a disciplinary problem rather than a human emergency? McKelvey gave the Navy everything he had until he had nothing left to give. Now the institution he served is sending him home to his wife and two small children with fewer opportunities than he had when he enlisted. If this is how America repays the sacrifices of its young service members, the Pentagon has a great deal more to worry about than its recruiting numbers.

A private prison company offered Minnesota an empty prison for 75 million dollars. The state said no. Then Trump’s administration paid the same company almost 500 million for it. The prison has sat empty in Appleton, Minnesota since 2010. Last year CoreCivic emailed the state and offered to sell it for 75 million, upgrades included. Minnesota passed. Fifteen months later, Homeland Security bought it for an ICE detention center at 495.6 million. How could this be? You guessed it. CoreCivic gave half a million dollars to Trump’s inaugural committee. And it still gets paid about 75 million a year to run the place. Republicans love talking about fraud in Minnesota. JD Vance says his task force is all over it. So where are they on this one? I break it all down in today’s show (link in reply).

"New records obtained by KARE 11 show the company that owned a vacant private prison in Appleton, Minnesota offered to sell it to the state in 2025 for $75 million. Get a monitored security system with cameras, anti glass break sensors, door sensors etc & loud alarm to wake you up should it be triggered. Ensure all bedrooms have reenforced internal locks & comms to call 911. Last but certainly not least, get your PAL & buy a shotgun. It is the easiest to use & most reliable self defence weapon you can own should all the other barriers fail.
