Six years ago today the August 4 Beirut port explosion destroyed so much of our city and took so much from us.
Friends. Family. Homes...
And my art gallery... every physical piece inside it reduced to dust in a single moment.
Out of that same pain, @SergeSats and I built @BtcArtSociety together to make sure the stories and the beauty could never be erased again.
Our parent signature, the beating heart of Bitcoin, created by @CyberSeaNFT tells this story.
But instead of beating, it explodes with every new block… then regenerates.
The explosion remembers August 4.
The regeneration remembers us choosing to rebuild, this time on the most permanent ledger humanity has ever made.
Art is memory.
Bitcoin is permanence.
And this time, no explosion can take it away.

We didn’t create @BtcArtSociety to become a cabal or sell art
The Beirut explosion was the 3rd largest explosion after Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Ten of thousands wounded
Hundreds dead
500k homeless
We lost friends family and physical art
We took that pain and turned it into a beacon of light hope and beauty
An institution that can stand over the next 1000 years
Not to just put art on Bitcoin, but to preserve the human story on the most permanent ledger humanity ever created
Because civilizations survive from the stories they protect
Art is memory
Bitcoin is permanence
Together , no explosion war or history can erase.

Amazing! Congrats!!
It feels surreal to finally share this news:
The world premiere of Human Unreadable Act III will take place in November at The Whitney Museum of American Art @whitneymuseum curated by Christiane Paul @ChristianePaul2. This live multimedia performance is the final act and culmination of Human Unreadable, our generative choreography work unfolding in three acts since 2023. Act III is an autobiographical evening-length work examining negotiations between the body, ambition, technology, and our relationship.
The performances will take place in the Whitney's Susan and John Hess Family Theater on November 19, 21, and 22.
Holders of Human Unreadable #2-#101, your choreographic scores will be performed within this show.

To understand the Mosaic, we first need to understand what art on Bitcoin actually means.
Through Ordinals, individual satoshis can carry inscriptions, which allows artwork to exist directly on Bitcoin. That changes the relationship between the artwork, the collector and the chain itself.
Instead of depending on a platform, server or external reference that may disappear over time, Bitcoin-native art can be anchored directly to the same historical record that has secured value for more than a decade. The Mosaic is built from that foundation.
The artwork lives where the history lives.
Experience the Mosaic for yourself.
Become part of the movement.
What if Bitcoin has been creating art all along?
We usually think of Bitcoin through prices, markets, mining, wallets and transactions. But underneath all of that, there is another layer waiting to be seen. Every movement on the chain leaves the structure behind.
Through Ordinal theory, individual satoshis can be identified, tracked and understood as carrying a place in Bitcoin’s history. Every transaction becomes part of a larger pattern.
The Mosaic by BitArt begins with this idea. It looks into Bitcoin itself and reveals a hidden visual language already woven into the network.
This is the beginning of the story.
Experience the Mosaic for yourself. Become part of the movement.

The Mosaic's sonic dimension is now live for all your inscriptions!
It scores music in real time from the same data that drives the visuals, and its musical character derives from what you inscribed: the sat amounts and sat ranges. And yes, you co-composed it. Your transactions are the score's source material.
Give it a listen: open your Mosaic and press the orange play button for auto-play, or press the play buttons in Explore Layers or Explore History to navigate the audio-visual space yourself. Then navigation becomes performance: moving through the Mosaic rewires the live score, and what you hear follows where you are.
Thank you all for participating! This music exists because of the contributions and choices you made, and it will keep playing, and keep changing, for as long as anyone cares to listen. I hope you enjoy hearing what you made.

We are introducing a new dimension of The Mosaic: its Sonic dimension!
The music is generated in real time from the same Mosaic state that drives the visuals. Sat ranges, ordinal numbers, tile positions, colors and density shape the image as well as its rhythm, harmony, tempo and melodic structure.
The sound is not an external soundtrack. It is The Mosaic’s visual logic made audible.
We invite every Mosaic holder to experience this new dimension and hear their piece become part of the work.

Largest mosaic in human history is on Bitcoin.
We’re not backing down on art on Bitcoin
Ever.
Mosaic is one of the earliest works created through Bitcoin Art Society’s vision of exploring Bitcoin as a medium for art.
What began as a collective experiment in transforming Bitcoin’s smallest units into creative expression has evolved into a collaborative piece shaped by hundreds of participants.
Today, Mosaic consists of 245 unique artworks created from 127,533,285 satoshis contributed by the community, with each piece permanently preserved on Bitcoin.
Each contribution carries its own story and place within the larger composition. Together, they form a collective artwork: a permanent record of human participation, where Bitcoin’s data and human intent converge into something entirely new.

DAY 2 // NFC LISBON @NFCsummit 🇵🇹
A full day of conversations around art, culture, and permanence.
Today, our cofounder and chief curator @Yaraspucia_ spoke about preserving art and culture on Bitcoin, why permanence matters, and how it changes the way we think about digital work over time.
@SergeSats and @CyberSeaNFT continued that conversation through the lens of Bitcoin art, exploring authorship, permanence, and what it means to create within systems designed to last.
There’s a growing sense that the foundations of a lasting Bitcoin art movement are starting to take shape in real time.
