Crypto activity creates an accounting problem before it creates a software problem.
We help U.S. businesses turn wallet, exchange, token, bridge, and DeFi activity into reviewable books, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
No private keys.

Crypto bookkeeping: wallet-to-wallet is not an entity check. Document who owned or controlled each source at the time. Keep intercompany and third-party transfers separate from same-entity movement.

Bridge reconciliation: trace the deposit and receipt as a connected sequence. Keep asset/network details and transaction references together. Mark probable matches as probable—not conclusive.

Crypto fund accounting: which source version supports the schedule? Keep versioned source references with agreed methods, assumptions and exceptions. Agree the handoff format with the receiving professional.

DAO accounting: paid does not mean the grant record is complete. When terms include milestones or restrictions, keep them linked to the agreement and track unused funds where applicable.

Crypto bookkeeping: a zero ending balance does not erase the period's activity. Include material closed accounts, archived addresses and subaccounts within the agreed entity and period scope.

Digital asset due diligence: know what the findings do—and do not—say. Bit Bookkeeper's scoped service reports observations, open questions and limitations, not an audit opinion.

Crypto bookkeeping: can the close run without its founder? Document who collects records, approves activity, books transactions and reviews the close.

Crypto bookkeeping: a suspected duplicate is a review item, not a delete instruction. Preserve source exports, investigate the overlap, and document the resolution.

Form 1099-DA reconciliation: check the account before the total.
Match the form to the right entity and broker account, then match transactions by date, asset and quantity. Keep unexplained differences visible for review.

DeFi accounting handoff: name a facts contact.
Keep protocol details, agreements, and an explanation of material activity together. List open questions for professional review.

Digital asset CFO: explain the forecast change.
Compare actuals with the plan. Document changed assumptions. Connect the update to the decision leadership needs to make.

Crypto bookkeeping: make valuations reviewable.
Record the price source, timestamp, reporting currency, and policy used. Flag missing support for review.

Crypto cost basis can calculate before the records support it.
When history is incomplete, preserve exports, connect supported transfers, reconcile quantities, and keep gaps visible for review.

Digital asset forecasting needs a dependable baseline:
books, treasury positions, reporting commitments, responsibilities, and the decision calendar.
Then runway and management views can support the next decision.

Crypto bookkeeping: choose scope first.
Historical cleanup or recurring close?
A cleanup maps records and open gaps. A close repeats agreed coverage, cutoffs, reconciliation, and review.
Different work. Different plan.

🚨URGENT: I believe the IRS has significantly increased the number of Letter 6174 notices being sent to crypto traders.
Based on what we’re seeing, I estimate the IRS could now be sending around 10,000 of these letters per month.
Last week alone, 5 clients came to us with 6174 letters. That is unusually high.
Letter 6174 is a voluntary compliance letter. It essentially tells you the IRS believes you may not have correctly reported past cryptocurrency activity and wants you to review your filings.
The IRS itself confirms that 6174/6174-A letters are part of its voluntary compliance program and are not themselves an audit.
In my view, these letters are being used as an intimidation tactic to pressure crypto taxpayers into taking action before they fully understand their position. I’ve warned about these letters before.
DO NOT SIGN OR SEND ANYTHING TO THE IRS WITHOUT GETTING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE FIRST.
Some versions, including Letter 6174-A, specifically state that you do not need to respond, although the IRS may contact you later about enforcement activity.
If you’ve received one, upload your IRS letter to us for review and get advice on how to handle it before you act.
Please spread the word. Crypto traders need to know these letters are going out.
