Neil's 10 Rules for Bitcoin Miners
1. Always be able to pay your OpEx without cashing in your #Bitcoin💱
2. Bitcoin mining is not for everyone.💎👐
3. Everyone is a noob unless they prove otherwise🤓
4. Never listen to people who make unprompted price predictions📉
ok safe to say binance is pwned
The biggest assets were approximately:
• 1.615B USDT
• 62.6M RLUSD
• 29,934 wBETH
• 11,372 XAUt
• 6.19M UNI
• 198.4M ENA
• 7.175T PEPE
• 27.8M USD1
• 2.26M LINK
• 127,853 AAVE
about $2.5B at the explorer’s prices.
1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC.
2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction
That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14.
3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14’s ETH and token balances.
4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth).
5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool
• The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days.
• The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep.
• The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA
• That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH.
What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all.
So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow.
I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.
We're all just trying to pick up pennies in front of steamrollers here. It doesnt matter how many people are in the way, the steamroller still wins.

The discussion between @Blockstream and the white-hat hacker (WHH) regarding the ~4000 BTC from @Liquid_BTC is happening in public. It seems to be their preference over email. As it's hard to follow the chain of messages in OP_RETURN, here's a summary with links.
11:30 AM PDT - WHH: "we are whitehats. contact us on chain"

12:31 PM PDT - Blockstream: "Please contact [email protected]"

7:20 PM PDT - WHH: "sending most back to bc1qdlld6antmv4xug242ed83q7k4rqw50cwfns38szx4qu2f4jwaxxsuhwxxr, is that ok"
mempool.space/tx/3a3eac4a263…
8:27 PM PDT - WHH: "Please fix the bug first. The chain is under risk at latest commit right now. Make sure every node is patched. Then we will transfer the money back safely after confirming the fix." [+ PGP-encrypted details to Blockstream]

8:30 PM PDT - Blockstream: "Yes, thank you." (PGP-signed; answers the 7:20 question, not the 8:27 one — confirmed in the same block)

DEVELOPING: Luke and Mechanic reportedly plan to acquire @Bitcoin X account
We have some difficult news to share. Unfortunately, one of our shipping providers has experienced a data breach that exposed sensitive order data. This affects new customers in the US, UK, Sweden, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, and Portugal who received an order within the 90 days prior to August 8th, 2026.
The data exposed:
- Full names
- Shipping addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
The incident affects 11,742 customers with full exposure (name, email, phone number, shipping address) and 1,947 customers with partial exposure (name, city, email). The breach is limited due to Trezor’s strict 90-day data storage policy (we were also able to negotiate the same terms with fulfillment partners, who follow the same policy).
All affected customers have been contacted separately by email.
Our systems and devices remain secure, but affected customers could experience an increase in phishing attempts.
NEVER enter your wallet backup on a website or share it with anyone, and only check for updates on official Trezor channels.
We are deeply sorry to the community and those affected.
We are investigating this situation and will post updates on our blog:

New #Bitcoin miners are having the same problem right now. Stop trying to "fix" everything when it's not broken and mine your business. It's not a bug, it's a feature! Embrace the suck! 🫡
Replying to @Excellion
I’ve seen a lot of lengthy posts from people writing up what Saylor should do to “fix” this. There’s no need to do anything. Just let the market sort itself out. The design is correct.
The emperor has no clothes! 🤣

Remove it from your profile and pretend it never happened. Classic.

There is a critical vulnerability being actively exploited on BTCPay Server, which can result in the loss of funds.
Please update your BTCPayServer to 2.4.2 by going to Admin Dashboard -> Server -> Maintenance -> Update & verify the 2.4.2 version string in the footer.
If you are unable to update right away, turn off your BTCPay Server to prevent unauthorized access until you can update.

👉Mk3 seed generated on 4.0.1+ without ≥50 private, independent dice rolls: begin a careful migration now.
👉Mk4/Mk5 <5.6.0 or Q <1.5.0Q: update first, generate a new seed, then migrate.
