I am not a fan of banks, perhaps like many or most bitcoiners. Additionally, I've never been impressed with banks in a grocery store. I thought they were just remote tellers.
However, recently trying to help my older sister with some financial issues, I became aware that Huntington Bank with a branch office in a Glenview (Chicago area) Jewel food store knew my sister and her friend extremely well and were very on top of their financial needs. I admit this discovery flabbergasted me. I feel I need to take back a few of the many harsh words I've had for bankers for a long time. Good for the Huntington staff! They've been most helpful to my sister!
I only became aware of these Huntington people because my sister was the victim of a scam. With two Master's degrees, I'm stunned she fell for it, but these bad guys are quite good at their dastardly profession. However, while they got some of her money, a banker named Pedro prevented about 50% of her loss thanks to him overcoming my sister's embarrassed resistance. He provided her a most useful service.

President Trump publicly stated in December 2025 that he would look into Keonne Rodriguez's possible pardon. 9 months later Keonne remains incarcerated.

First-ever visit to @SteaknShake. Kiosk-only ordering. Payment screen showed Bitcoin big and obvious. Used Strike; next time I'll use CashApp for better record of tx. Tx was nearly instant, no fee. Burger very tasty, fries thin and crispy. Staff greeted us in and out. Steaktoshi!

Creating new #Bitcoin wallets?
Record all these 5 things:
1. Seed words (obviously)
2. Script type (Segwit, Taproot etc)
3. Fingerprint
4. Derivation path
5. Method+date of creation
Your backups should record all these components, but critically the first 3
But why all these? 👇
Forbes published a worthy article online 19aug26 on Triffin's Dilemma, submitting that gold, dollars, stablecoins, and bitcoin can harmoniously coexist as bitcoin steadily rises to be the globe's neutral reserve asset, assuring bitcoin rises in comparison to any fiat currency.
With US debt crossing the amazing line of $40 trillion, news reporters are sounding alarms. However, that's debt measured in dollars and all bitcoiners know what's happening to (any) fiat. How does US debt look measured against gold? …a lot different. Check for yourself.
I often hear variations on this theme: bitcoin will go "up" because the dollar goes "down." Yet bitcoin has gone up when measured in gold similarly to what it has done measured in dollars. It appears other reasons exist for bitcoin to go up than merely continual dollar dilution.
Probably like many ex-Coldcarders, I'm looking for new options. Listening to experts, too. "Don't trust. Verify" is harder than it seems. We "trusted" Coldcard; a mistake. I like Bitkey a lot; you have to trust Block. Looking at Jade and their Blind Oracle; more trust. Hmmm…?
Whew! Got my coins off Coldcard Q / Sparrow successfully. Scary for many who lost; my heart is heavy for them. I moved all to Bitkey and was super glad I already had that operating. Block analyzed and found no risk for Bitkey coins. Good luck, all!

I never intended to become a Bitcoiner.
I heard someone mention, “Bitcoin is digital gold.”
I read one article.
I bought $50 worth, then sold it at a profit five months later.
Then I read the whitepaper.
Then I started going deeper:
• Inflation
• The supply cap
• The issuance schedule
• The thermodynamic security model
• The game theory
• Monetary history
• The Cantillon effect
• The fiat endgame
• Deflation as the natural state of a free economy
And somewhere between "interesting technology" and "holy shit, every dollar I hold is melting," you cross a threshold.
Then I found myself pouring my savings into Bitcoin because I understood the math.
Once you see that 21 million is the only hard monetary ceiling humanity has ever coded into existence, you can’t unsee it.
Once you understand that Bitcoin is an escape from a debt-soaked empire printing itself into irrelevance, you stop asking whether you should buy it. You start asking why the hell you waited this long.
Bitcoin is a journey.
Bitcoin is at a great price to get started today.
So, the US government has 300,000+ bitcoin. They "seized" them. OK. Let's presume they seized them from genuinely bad people. Did those people steal those bitcoin from someone else? In that case, shouldn't USG do a more neutral job and return the bitcoin to their rightful owners?
Apple is about to kill Sparrow Wallet on macOS. The deadline is June 30.
Since 2023, more than a dozen fake "Sparrow" apps have appeared on Apple's App Store. Users have lost their savings, in some cases their life savings, to these impersonators. Craig Raw, Sparrow's developer, holds the registered US trademarks for both the name and logo. He's been publicly warning Apple about the scam apps since early 2024. They keep showing up.
Craig created a placeholder app, never published, to warn users that Sparrow is desktop-only and the App Store copycats aren't real. Apple's response? They flagged his developer account for "dishonest activity" and scheduled it for termination.
The developer fighting scammers got flagged. The scammers who stole life savings kept operating on Apple's platform.
If Apple follows through, every new Sparrow install on macOS fails after June 30. macOS development ends entirely.
This matters because Sparrow is the best desktop Bitcoin wallet available, full stop. Multisig. Coin control. Hardware wallet integration. Tor support. UTXO management that most wallets don't even attempt. Free. Open source. Built by one developer who cares more about his users than his revenue.
And one automated decision by a trillion-dollar company could end it on an entire operating system.
This is why platform gatekeeping is a systemic risk for freedom tech. If your tools need a gatekeeper's blessing to exist, they aren't freedom tools. We have to build on open platforms.
Download Sparrow now from sparrowwallet.com before the deadline. And repost Craig's announcement to help get Apple's attention before it's too late.
Inflation = Growth in the money supply LESS increase in productivity BUT ADD excessive regulatory burden* LESS technological advancement. What inflation is NOT = CPI (or any other of the derivatives to mask one or another problem). *especially for small businesses
Government takes many actions that people dislike but your average Joe or Jill usually accepts Uncle Sam blaming "greedy" businesses for prices rising. Prices simply respond. A growing supply of dollars is the true culprit. Given POTUS's favorite word is "deal," how about this?
Ron Paul's "Liberty Report" (YouTube, Rumble, podcasts) from May 20, 2026 provides some amazing numbers about the election results for Thomas Massie. The numbers and facts surrounding them sound eerily like 2020 hence the term "Massey was 2020d." — youtube.com/live/5TNqpplHd-s…
GDP is a flawed measurement that provides an uneven picture of the economy, including as it does all federal government expenditures (money blocked from private expenditure). Measuring in dollars, or any fiat, is also deceptive. One day ➡️ Bitcoin!
Why do governments throughout history resort to war? Of course, they want what the other guy has. But why war? Simple: because they produce nothing and therefore cannot offer value through trade. Result: governments eventually fail.
