When fees fluctuate with network demand, planning transactions can become difficult. @RetiumChain takes a different approach by assigning a specific weight to each on-chain action and determining fees based on that weight. How does it work? Each action has an assigned weight, helping users understand the expected cost before making a transaction. Two ways to pay Users can pay fees using RTM or RTD. RTD follows a fee rate of 1.5× the RTM rate. Why does it matter? Predictable fees can support better cost planning reduce uncertainty around congestion related fee spikes and make blockchain interactions easier to understand. Retium is currently in its testnet phase so its performance under real world network conditions remains something to watch as development progresses.
