You’ll never meet a happy socialist.
Socialism is predicated on envy, and envy is one of the deadly sins. And when your worldview is rooted in coveting what others have, but without doing the work to earn it yourself, you will become an angry person. It’s quite simple.
I spoke on a college campus last night. Always a tough place. And in the Q&A, the socialists were just so miserable. Scowl. Sneer. So odd. This is an elite private school. You’re young. You’ve got the world before you- go ahead and change it. But the anger I find so bizarre because it is illogical and unwarranted. These kids are so fortunate and yet they are miserable.
Why? Envy. What they have is not enough. Others have more and it’s not “fair”. And the system doesn’t allow them to just take it, so they want to overthrow the system.
There’s little point in talking to them, tho I think I try and with great kindness. But it’s not politics. It’s not culture. It’s not even Marx or Adam Smith. Definitely not R vs. D. At its core, it’s just the sin of envy. Nothing new under the sun. No need for a deep dive into the mind of Gen Z like they’re this deeply complex and mysterious generation heretofore unexplored by society.
Nope. It’s just envy. And they’re miserable for it. Because sin makes us angry.
It’s… kind of why I’m so damn happy all the time. Hahaha. Truly.

Nauczyciel powiedział im, że socjalizm w końcu zawiedzie, ponieważ gdy połowa populacji widzi, że nie musi pracować, bo druga połowa się nimi zajmie, a gdy ta połowa, która pracowała, zdaje sobie sprawę, że nie ma sensu już pracować, bo inni korzystają z ich pracy, to jest koniec każdego narodu.

Every word you have ever spoken was a rough copy of what you actually meant.
The thought in your head arrives whole. It has shape, feeling, and a hundred connections all firing at once.
Then you have to squeeze it into a single line of words, one after another, at roughly the speed your mouth can move.
The person listening gets that line and rebuilds the rest from their own experience. What lands in their head is their version of your thought.
That gap is why couples fight over things neither of them said. It is why great teachers are rare, and why an expert can understand something completely and still be unable to explain it.
Language is the most powerful tool our species ever built. We have lived inside its limits for so long that they feel like the shape of thinking itself.
Brain interfaces are starting to test those limits. The first ones already let people who cannot move control a screen with thought alone.
Push that principle far enough and the words in between start to look optional.
A thought could travel the way it exists, all at once, with its shape and feeling intact.
An engineer could hand over the design exactly as they see it. A doctor could share the precise pattern they recognize in a scan, the one they have spent years failing to put into words.
Speech would survive for the same reason people still write letters by hand. It feels human, and some things are meant to be slow.
The bigger shift comes with AI. Machines are learning to think at speeds no keyboard can keep up with, and right now the only channel between us and them is words.
Widening that channel lets people work alongside that intelligence at something much closer to its pace.
Everyone carries a thought they have never managed to put into words. We may be the first people who get to share one anyway.

Note to young Democrat Socialists: Socialism sounds good until it's put into practice. Then the horror of the ideology are quickly seen. It's not pretty and saying "socialism has never been done correctly" is just not accurate.
I once met a professor of economics at the University of Texas. He was Russian and was a high level economist who worked in the Politburo during the final days of the Soviet Union.
I asked him if he had believed in socialism/communism while working at high levels in the Soviet Union and why he thought socialism was popular among young Americans. He then said:
"Heaven no! We didn't believe in socialism. The Soviet Union stretched 11 time zones but we could hardly manufacture a light bulb. Why are young Americans attracted to it? It's easy to be a socialist in America because there's always food on the shelves. Socialism did not put that food there."
Young Americans, look at those espousing the joys of socialism in the Democrat Party. You'll see unaccomplished people like Bernie Sanders and AOC who have made their fortunes only by being politicians. Both are multi-millionaires. Bernie has never held a job outside of politics and AOC was a bartender. Bernie and AOC constantly complain about oligarchs while traveling in private jets and staying in 5-star hotels.
Capitalism has been marginalized by corrupt politicians who are owned by huge corporations and lobbyists. We have not experienced free-market capitalism because of the very people you are counting on to give you perfect socialist policies and programs. It's never worked before and won't in the future.
Want to see true socialism/communism? Look in this hemisphere to Cuba and Venezuela. Cuba cannot provide electricity now that their fellow communists funding them have been thrown from control. Food is super scarce. Venezuela was the wealthiest country in South America before communism took over. Even though Venezuela has the world's largest oil reserves and had tremendous wealth, Venezuelans ended up eating zoo animals to live.
People who experience true socialism don't drink $8 Starbucks coffee and write anti-capitalist posts on $3,000 Mac Pro laptops. They are hoping to find something they can eat to survive. Communist North Korea is worse. Citizens there have had to eat their children.
No ideology is perfect but capitalism has raised more people from poverty in world history than any other while socialism has put more people into starvation. Not to mention that communism murdered 100 million of its citizens worldwide in the past century.
You may vote your way into socialism but you will have to fight your way out. Millions have found that out the hard way. Don't be one of them in the future.

The point of no return by Richard von Mises is worth reading:
"A state becomes almost unreformable when the majority of the population is financially or structurally dependent on the state (state employees, civil servants, recipients of subsidies, grants, or transfer payments, etc.). As soon as those who net benefit from or are supported by the state outnumber those who do not, the system blocks reforms, since the majority votes out of self-interest for the preservation or expansion of state services."
Does this sound familiar? Some European countries, France, Belgium, Finland are already way beyond that point, closely followed by Germany, Spain, Austria and Italy. It works for a while, as long as markets buy more sovereign debt at reasonable interest rates. The party ends when they stop though. For France, they stopped this month, Belgium will be next.
The longer the socialist illusion persists, the more painful the inevitable cuts and adjustments will be. It’s pure arithmetic. Good luck Europe, good luck Euro. Buckle up, it won’t be pretty.

You ruined our nation and our culture. You openly mocked, belittled, and discriminated us, then called us racist, misogynist, Nazis when we started noticing.
You defiled and corrupted all of our great institutions, to include the media, social media, tech, academia, intelligence, health, pharma, Hollywood, entertainment, sports, EVERYTHING! You weaponized every aspect of American life, and used it to push your insane far-Left agenda down our throats.
You told us Trump was a Russian asset that was going to start WW3 and would be worse than Hitler. Then you used that as an excuse to justify hatred towards Trump supporters and to riot in the streets. You used it as an excuse to obstruct and ruin Trump’s entire first term, and it turned out it was all a lie.
Then during Covid, you demanded we all be forced to take medical experimentation without testing. You wanted dissenters locked in prison. You wanted children taken from their anti-vax parents. You wanted the anti-vax in camps. You were rooting for our deaths. Then it turned out you were wrong about everything from the man-made origin, to masks, to vaccines, to social distancing, to ivermectin, to HCQ, to natural immunity, and everything in between.
Then during Ukraine, you told us that Ukraine was a bastion of Democracy, and that they desperately needed all of our tax dollars. Then it turned out that Ukraine is one of the most corrupt nations in the world, with literal Nazi military forces, and it was actually just a money laundering operation to steal from the American taxpayer. You want to defend Ukraine’s borders more than our own. You sent hundreds of billions of dollars on the other side of the planet, while Americans are suffering, all based on more lies.
Then there’s the whole Epstein, Diddy, human-trafficking element. You all told us VEHEMENTLY that human-trafficking was a myth, you told us the border was secure, and you told us that anyone who questioned it was an irredeemable & deplorable conspiracy theorist (and a piece of garbage). You said anyone who watched “Sound of Freedom” was a QAnon extremist and threat to democracy. Then it turned out to be true, and the elites really are engaged in unspeakable crimes against children. After you all told us for decades this was not true. You covered up the most heinous crimes imaginable, for political gain.
I could do this for days, but I think you get the point. The American People are awake to the scam and the true evil going on around us, and we are not going to stand for it anymore. So we hired Donald J. Trump and his team of Patriots to rectify the situation, and bring America back to her greatness.
This is the reality of the situation. You are the bad guys, and you have been deceived. The sooner you wake up to it, the sooner you can join us in repairing this nation. Or you can choose to deny reality, and spend the rest of your lives consumed by hate, based on lies.

In November 1941 the richest man in America drove his twenty-three-year-old daughter to a hospital in Washington without telling her mother, had two surgeons drill holes in her skull and cut into the front of her brain while she sang God Bless America to them, and when the singing stopped she had a mental age of two and the family did not speak her name for twenty years.
Rosemary Kennedy was the third child and the first girl, and she was slow. A nurse at the birth had held Rose Kennedy's legs together for two hours while they waited for the doctor, and the baby had been starved of air. She learned to read and write, but late, and in a family where the boys were being bred for the presidency and the girls for the right marriage, she was the one who could not keep up, the one who had to be coached and watched and given the simpler part in the photograph. She was also, by every account, the prettiest of them, and when the family went to London in 1938 she was presented at court in a white dress and curtsied to the King without a mistake.
Then she was twenty-one, and the trouble started. Moods. Rages. Slipping out of the convent school at night and coming back in the morning and not saying where. The nuns said she might be meeting men. For Joseph Kennedy, who was managing his sons towards the White House and could not have a daughter who might get pregnant or get talked about, that was the end of it. He had read about a new operation. Walter Freeman had promised the newspapers it calmed the agitated, and Joe Kennedy had never in his life been told that a thing he could pay for would not work.
Rosemary was given a mild sedative and kept awake. Freeman and his surgeon, James Watts, opened the skull on both sides and Watts pushed a blade into the frontal lobes and swept, while Freeman asked her to recite the Lord's Prayer and sing, and count backwards, so they would know how far to go. They went until she was incoherent. Then they stopped.
She came out of it unable to walk or speak. Years of therapy got her a few words and a limp. Joe moved her to a private hospital in New York and then to a convent school in Wisconsin, told the family she was teaching the retarded in the Midwest, and never went to see her. Rose, her mother, was not told what had been done until long after, and did not visit for twenty years. The brothers and sisters, including the one who became President, were told she was away. When Joe had his stroke in 1961 and could no longer manage the story, Eunice went to Wisconsin and found a woman of forty-three who did not know her, and came home and started the Special Olympics.
Rosemary lived to eighty-six, in the convent, and died in 2005 with her surviving sisters at the bed. The brother who became President had signed the first federal mental health law in 1963, and the family has said she was the reason.
Freeman kept operating for another twenty-six years. His notes on Rosemary have never been released.
That is what the expert's confidence looks like when it meets a powerful man with an inconvenient child. The science was published. The father was certain. The daughter sang to the surgeon until she could not.
Every institution that has ever decided it knows what is wrong with you and how to tidy it has the same two ingredients in the room, and the person on the table is still the only one who pays.

Paying student loans I never took out.
Paying for free food for someone that shouldn't even be here.
Paying healthcare for people that jumped the border.
Paying for infrastructure in a country I've never been to.

You are alive at the only moment in human history where every constraint is breaking at the same time.
The cost of knowledge is collapsing. The cost of creation is collapsing. The cost of communication is collapsing. The cost of coordination is collapsing. The barrier between a mind and its potential is thinner right now than at any point in the history of the species, and it is getting thinner every morning.
Each one of those shifts alone would reshape civilization. They are all happening at once, and almost nobody is processing it as one event because the human mind was not built to track five revolutions running in parallel.
Some see the jobs disappearing and panic. Some see the tools arriving and celebrate. Some see the institutions crumbling and mourn. Some see the access opening and build. Each one is looking at a different face of the same object, each convinced they are looking at the whole thing.
The shape is this.
Intelligence was scarce. It is becoming abundant. And every structure humanity has ever built was designed for the scarce version.
Education was built to ration access to knowledge. The knowledge is now everywhere. The credential is still pretending it isn’t.
Media was built to filter reality through a narrow channel. The audience now reaches the event directly. The filter is still pretending it is needed.
Organizations were built to coordinate human minds at scale because one person could not hold a problem large enough to matter. A single mind with the right tools can now operate at the scale of a department. The org chart is still pretending the ratio hasn’t changed.
Geography determined access. If you were born in the wrong place, the signal never reached you. Connectivity from orbit does not ask where you live. The old maps are still pretending the edges exist.
Every gate was built because the alternative was chaos. They were not corruption. They were architecture. Load-bearing walls in a building designed for a world that no longer exists.
AI is not tearing them down out of malice. It is making them unnecessary.
And a wall that is no longer load-bearing is just something in the way.
The question everyone is arguing about is what we lose.
The question almost nobody is asking is what was always behind them, that we never got to see.
How many people carried the ability to solve problems that mattered and never had the tools to touch them? How many ideas died in the gap between a mind that could see the answer and a world that demanded credentials before it would listen?
How much of what we call human limitation was never about the human and always about the infrastructure standing between them and the opportunity?
We are about to find out.
The scarcity that shaped every institution you have ever interacted with is evaporating, and the institutions are the last to notice because they were built to manage the scarcity, not to question whether it still exists.
This is not a disruption. Disruption replaces one thing with another.
This is a phase change. The conditions that made the old structures necessary are ceasing to exist. What emerges on the other side will not resemble what came before, because it will not be solving the same problems.
You are not watching a technology trend.
You are standing inside the most compressed transformation in the history of civilization.
What you do in the next few years will not be measured by the standards of the world you grew up in.
It will be measured by the world that is arriving while most people are still arguing about the one that is leaving.
