Coinkite doesn't even know if you ever turned on your @COLDCARDwallet.
Coinkite doesn't have a app/software wallet because that's one more trust point.
A third party adds one more layer of validation.
PSBTs make HWW wallet agnostic. Ideally your software wallet doesn't even know which HWW you are using.

If you don't want to trust a hardware wallet company to keep your details private, not to spy on you with proprietary software, if you don't agree with their technical decisions, or if you don't feel like they reflect your values, there are other really good options out there.
