The big winner of this World Series? Scouts!
The Brewers and Rays are deeply analytical but also deeply rooted in traditional scouting. Perhaps there’s a lesson there. @MLB mlb.com/news/brewers-rays-sc…

The Browns got big plays from their young talent. The #Titans got too few from theirs.

Hard to beat Thursday nights during football season. Even harder when the lineup is this stacked.

The #Titans finally won. Cam Ward threw for 102 yards and completed half his passes.

The #Titans need to stop experimenting and figure out what their players actually do well.
Blake Beddingfield goes through the Houston tape with specific changes he'd make on offense, concerns about Cam Ward and a pass rush that isn't good enough.
Plus a big question about Jeffery Simmons.

Carnell Tate finally had his breakout game, and Blake Beddingfield sees other reasons for optimism on the #Titans tape.
But an improving offensive line, flashes from Cam Ward and some promising young players still haven't added up to a win.

One of the biggest differences from Week One wasn't Cam Ward.
It was what the Titans asked him to do.
Blake Beddingfield on fewer passes, more running, better OL play and a Brian Daboll game plan that fit the personnel instead of stressing its weaknesses.

The Jets didn't just beat the #Titans. Blake Beddingfield saw a significant talent gap.

Former #Titans scouting director Blake Beddingfield went player by player through the initial 53.
Some of his conclusions:
💥Cedric Gray is already one of the team's four best defenders
💥Fernando Carmona should start for years
💥Anthony Hill will eventually take snaps from Cody Barton
💥Xavier Restrepo could still be the first man off the roster
💥The safety depth is a real concern

Former Titans scout Blake Beddingfield watched the tape.
His conclusion after two preseason games:
“The improvements the front office has made and the holes that still exist are starting to become clearer. And there are too many holes.”
