I never imagined that something like what happened to me in August 2023 could occur in this world. It was an experience I never saw coming, and it changed my life forever. Since then, I’ve been navigating a reality I never thought possible. In Halo terms, I lost my shields and since then I’ve been trying to recharge them fully. What happened was something unparalleled, life-changing, life-threatening. It’s complicated. It all started with a rushed decision in my life. I made the mistake of ordering Chlorella algae powder without realizing where it came from. The product page didn’t clearly show the origin, and distracted, I failed to check further. Later on I discovered it was sourced from China - a region with significant industrial and environmental pollution. This makes it vulnerable to contamination with heavy metals and other poisons, especially when sourced from an open system instead of a controlled closed pipe system. Looking back, it feels like I hit the wrong kind of lottery. For what I wanted to use it for, it was unnecessary - and with the risk of environmental toxicants, it’s not something I would ever recommend. I had no idea that this seemingly harmless choice would set me on a dangerous path. Please don’t make the same mistake. This is where my story begins. Exposure to toxicants like uranium and other harmful substances, resulting in a highly complex situation. I don’t wish anyone to go through what I have. At that time, I thought that was the worst I could experience, but life had deeper lows waiting for me. Only now do I see that this was just the beginning of something bigger - a process of rebuilding and learning. Destruction is easy. It comes quickly, almost effortlessly. But rebuilding? Rising from almost nothing? That takes almost everything you have… I’ve accepted the situation I’m in, and I’ve embraced the uncertainty. And when health is on the line, there’s no other option but to push forward, even when it feels like the world is against you. And with God's guidance, I've come to understand that even in our lowest points, there is always a path to rise again. The good things aren't always clear from the start, but they seem to be worth the struggle. Every setback, every sleepless night, it wasn’t for nothing. For over a year now, this situation has kept me from something I truly loved - video games like Halo. Gaming wasn’t just a hobby for me, it was an escape and a way to connect with others. But everything that’s happened has also reminded me of the importance of staying connected. As a small way to give back to the Halo community, I’m hosting a giveaway of 3 custom controllers and an Astro A40 headset. There's no reason to hoard these, and I’m sure they’ll bring joy to someone. That’s what matters most. Normally, I can’t find the words to describe this. It’s too big, too overwhelming. There’s no way to fully express it. It’s complicated and hard to grasp.
