Your goal shouldn’t be to go viral or become a big YouTuber… Your goal if anything should be to join the Creator Middle Class and build a brand you can live with for over 10-15 years… That keeps giving you more opportunities.

This is what keeps me going and this is what I remind myself of whenever I deal with negativity or haters or my own internal negativity… A video you don’t think matters or did well can be everything to someone watching it. And a kind comment you leave can shape someone’s whole day or week and keep them going… 🙏🏾🙏🏾🥺

The Creator Economy has to be rebalanced in such away where there are more freelancers and support teams working behind the camera and offline. Creators shouldn’t try to do everything alone after a certain point, but there is a talent deficit of support team members… A lack of professionalism, largely due to the abundance of young and inexperienced amateurs. The community largely resists the idea of growing up and treating this more like a career field and proper industry… while also demanding to be taken seriously. That’s why I feel it will take 5-15 years for the watershed moment of Creators really being respected like any other career. The support systems for this industry have to be built out more. It’s similar to the early years of Silicon Valley and it’s culture.

YouTube is NOT Saturated... (bookmark this) 0.003% Of Creators Have 10M Subscribers 0.08% Of Creators Have 1M Subscribers 0.75% Of Creators Have 100K Subscribers 4.5% of Creators Have 10K Subscribers This means if YouTube is "Saturated", it's only Saturated with Low Hanging Fruit... It's saturated with INCONSISTENCY, LOW VALUE, LOW EFFORT, LOW QUALITY CONTENT. There is always room for: Consistent, High Effort, High Value, High-Quality-Content... but that is NOT what most Creators make. What VIEWERS want to watch, is more important than what YOU want to make. YOU being BORED is NOT the Viewers' Problem. If you want to express yourself, don't be emotionally invested in growth, and be grateful for the people who do show up for you. If you want a career as a full-time content creator, commit to PUTTING THE AUDIENCE FIRST.
