The Internet Capital Market Is Much Bigger Than We Think 🧠
In the last 18 months, we’ve been watching a completely new capital market emerge on the internet. And the scale is already way beyond what most people realize.
Between 2024-2025, ICM platforms processed tens of billions in cumulative trading volume, with many earning $5-15M in annualized fees according to Blockworks Research.
@MeteoraAG’s DLMM alone expanded @solana’s liquidity landscape from sub-$1B TVL to over $200B in cumulative trading volume, becoming one of the most efficient market-making systems in crypto.
When I look at the numbers, I see something similar to early DeFi, but this time, liquidity is tied to attention.
Tokens become interfaces for social belief, cultural energy, and early product experiments.
And somehow, this feels more natural than the financialization we saw in 2020.
I’ve developed a simple mental model: ICM is evolving through four layers = Early Formation → Community Launch → Market Infra → Capital Bridges.
Each layer solves a pain point that Web2 and traditional markets have never solved.
1) Early Formation
This is where most builders get stuck. #AI is lowering the cost of creation to almost zero, but the cost of distribution and early momentum is still high.
@Bloom__Protocol fixed something fundamental, it creates a clean upstream source of projects by verifying real community belief before speculative trading starts.
Bloom Missions + SBTs basically let supporters prove conviction in a way that later converts into liquid value.
This is the part traditional accelerators never managed to build.
2) Community Launch
Meteora created a turning point: Dynamic Bonding Curves + open liquidity programs.
Now, anyone can launch a token with structured liquidity and real price discovery.
Platforms like @trendsdotfun, @helpdotfun, @BagsApp, @icmdotrun have already powered hundreds of launches, often generating tens of millions in primary + secondary liquidity.
We now see cultural IP like 索拉拉 (Suolala) mutate from a meme into a full internet-native micro-economy.
This is when I realized attention itself is becoming a financial primitive.
3) Market Infra
Once tokens exist, the challenge is survival.
This is where Solana’s microstructure focus matters: predictable execution, fair settlement, and exchange-level throughput.
And the ecosystem is filling in the rest:
– @metaplex: structured, sniper-resistant token issuance
– @MeteoraAG DLMM: adaptive liquidity that scales from $1M to $1B+
– @MetaDAOProject: futarchy-based governance with prediction-market decision making
Together, launch → liquidity → governance is becoming a continuous circuit.
4) RWA and Capital Bridges
This is the last piece and it’s already happening faster than expected.
– BlackRock tokenizing funds
– CME clearing SOL/XRP options
– Western Union launching $USDPT on Solana for 100M+ users
– Collaterize, Synthesys, and PreStocks bringing real estate, bonds, and pre-IPO equity onchain
– Asia’s largest asset managers issuing tokenized MMFs on @solana
– Visa/Mastercard expanding stablecoin settlement pilots
For the first time, crypto-native capital formation has a bridge into real markets, not just narrative cycles.
What does this actually mean?
I’m convinced the Internet Capital Market is a new capital order forming in real time.
Builders get a faster, fairer path than VC.
Communities finally capture value instead of watching from the sidelines.
Institutions get programmable, 24/7 capital markets with global reach.
The next generation of companies launches directly into the Internet Capital Market.

This is why ICM exists.
Boomers had three decades of good IPO opportunities.
Average return: 4175x
Millennials had 3 good IPO opportunities over the span of 20 years. These IPO’s launched during the Great Recession, no one could buy.
Outside of those, average return: 1.68%
Retail is getting robbed of opportunity at every turn. They are just exit liquidity.
Tokenizing startups is a huge unlock.
Don’t underestimate the opportunity we have with ICM to level the playing field.
This is another part of the broken social contract.
Boomers got to buy:
AAPL IPO at $1.8b mcap
MCD IPO at $33m mcap
MSFT IPO at $780m mcap
INTC IPO at $58m mcap
HD IPO at $60m mcap
NIKE IPO at $220 mcap
AMZN IPO at $438m mcap
EBAY IPO at $700m mcap
Average return 4175x
Looking at the "good" IPOs millennials had access to (CART, BIRK, ARM, KYVO)....
Average mcap was $20.6 B
Average return to date to 1.68%
That average is being largely lifted by ARM which did a 10x
A more median view did the other three is 1.00x (flat)
And these are the GOOD IPOs, most are down horrendously
Couple outliers
FB & TSLA
META IPO at $.104b lol (2012)
Average return 17.7x
TSLA IPO $4b mcap (2010)
Average return 422x
These few good IPO's launched in the middle of the great recession, millennials were broke and unable to find work in their field. They did not have money to invest in them, boomers were again the main beneficiaries of these opportunities.
Boomers had three decades of good IPO opportunities. Millennials had 3 good IPO opportunities over the span of 20 years.
Now the IPOs are milk, dry and inflated by giant Series G rounds before you ever get a chance to invest.

B2C App Build & Marketing Playbook
1. Build fast → MVP in weeks, not months. Ugly but usable.
2. Pick 1 channel → Don’t spread thin. Dominate TikTok, X, or Reddit first.
3. Consistency > Virality → 100 posts > 1 lucky viral.
4. Feedback loop → Ship, measure, tweak. Repeat weekly.
5. Monetize early → Even $5 validates more than 5k free users.
6. Retention is king → Growth hacks die fast. Stickiness compounds.
7. iOS & Web first → Better $ conversion than Android (trust me).
8. Organic → Paid → Once you’ve nailed your funnel, then pour gas.
Simple. Repeatable. Brutal.

Just like there’s no TradFi or Crypto - just capital markets.

Today's the day. Ignition Season 3 demo day.
Recently looked back at all the projects that have come through previous 2 seasons and my mind was 🤯🤯
- $10M in capital raised
- $10M in liquidity raised
- 1 TGE
Season 3 was very different than the previous two with teams spending 6 weeks at Forest City with @balajis 's Network School.
Best of luck to all teams!

Startup funding has 3 classic paths:
• Bootstrapping—own it all, grow slow
• Venture Capital—grow fast, give up 20-40 % each round
• Boot-scaling—bootstrap to traction, then raise VC
A fourth path is emerging: Seed-strapping - due to the AI-native builder meta. But to really fly, Web3 has room to add value.
Here’s how it works👇
