Leadership Isn’t a Speech. It’s a Skill That Gets Practiced. Thank you @NM_StallionFB for trusting the Blueprint Follow Me Leadership Academy. What you’re seeing here is a real page from the curriculum—designed for captains & leaders to teach their peers, spark conversation, & build trust inside the locker room. This isn’t a lecture. It’s leaders standing up, asking questions, and driving the culture forward. Proud to partner @tkick6 & with programs that are intentional about developing leaders, not just players. #thebrotherhood @mesquiteisdATH @CoachJacksonTPW @fastnwide

This made me smile so I had to share… I’m doing a Follow Me customization for a 6-man program in West Texas — the Happy Cowboys. One of the pictures hc @coach_perryman sent included this sign that said: “You Ain’t No Cowboy.” So I texted him: “Coach… I’ve gotta know the story behind this sign.” His response was gold: “Haha that’s our discipline dice poster. If a player gets detention or any other infraction, he rolls two dice. We always have a freshman that asks how you get ‘free ice cream.’ But the real part is the accountability piece… if you mess up, the rest of the guys get to tell you all day — ‘you ain’t no cowboy.’” Coaches could all make more money selling copiers…but getting to build a culture like this is way more fun. 🤠 @HappySportsNet @fastnwide @BlueprintMP

A reporter asked some @Grandview_FB after the state championship loss: “We’re talking a lot about the leadership you’re showing right now. Talk about what coach has taught you…” The players answered: “Coach Randy Jackson helped us. We watched a Blueprint video every week. At first we didn’t take it seriously. Then we realized it mattered — and it helped us win.” Coaches: winning is an event. Being ready for moments like this is training. coachrandyjackson.com @CoachRPorter @fastnwide @BlueprintMP

Coaches - Is being with your team the best part of your athletes’ day? Not the easiest or the most comfortable. Still demanding. Still hard. But the best. Do your athletes feel special when they’re with you and the team? I used this exact question last week during an athletic program audit, and the answers didn’t just add depth and clarity—the athletes felt heard. I just released a free, anonymous Google Form you can use to do the same. Download it - make a copy and send it out today. It takes athletes about 5 minutes. It gives coaches real clarity. If you want to understand what it actually feels like to be in your program on a normal day, this is a good place to start. 👉 Grab the free resource here: coachrandyjackson.com/shop/p… @fastnwide @BlueprintMP

"I'm using all of this!" These are actual text messages I received from head football coaches after listening to Justin Velasquez on 4th & 3: “Pure gold! Great job!” “I start a new job soon and am using all of this — Evolution vs. Revolution, the wheelbarrow, the 4-minute warm-up. Great stuff!” 4th and 3 will never be philosophy, but tactics coaches can use the next day. 🎧 Listen to 4th & 3 — real conversations from inside the coach’s office. ▶️ Listen now: coachrandyjackson.podbean.co… @velasquezcoach @fastnwide @BlueprintMP

Replying to @Grandview_FB
@Grandview_FB’s run to the state finals didn’t happen by accident. The Zebras had great players and great coaches — but they also made a key decision: they brought in a different voice all season long, one focused solely on leadership and mental performance. Through The Blueprint, athletes trained focus, response under pressure, and how to show up when it mattered most. I was able to speak to the team twice in person — but the real bond was built week by week through the curriculum. That edge shows up in big moments. Your program can build the same edge with a virtual mental performance coach designed for teams. As @CoachRPorter shared w/ me after the game: “When I walked to the bus, one of our guys said, ‘Randy Jackson will always be a part of my life. We love him.’” coachrandyjackson.com/the-bl… @CoachJacksonTPW @fastnwide

📦 Shipped Today. Leadership Starts Now. Big thank you to @stp54 & the Steamboat Springs Sailors for trusting the Follow Me Leadership Academy. Too many programs HOPE leaders show up. They wish the next senior class will be better leaders. But real leadership doesn’t happen by accident. - It’s trained. - It’s practiced. - It’s built. This is about creating captains who set the standard, earn trust, and lead in ways teammates actually follow. Grateful to be part of what you’re building in Steamboat Springs. Excited to watch your leaders set the tone this season and beyond. ⚓️ coachrandyjackson.com/leader… @CoachJacksonTPW @fastnwide

What a testament to our kids and community. Thank you @CoachJacksonTPW for stating so well what we all experienced in that stadium last week. Although the scoreboard didn’t show the outcome we wanted,The Blueprint was a major factor in getting us there.
WINNING is an event. Being a WINNER is an identity. I was on the sideline of the Texas 3A D1 championship game where the score got out of hand early. What mattered had nothing to do with the scoreboard. - No coach had to ask for effort. - Players kept playing hard. - They kept encouraging each other. The standard never changed when the outcome was no longer in doubt. That’s the difference. Winning is an outcome. Being a winner is a choice. 📖 Click to read: 'When the Clock Hit Zero, I Was Standing Among Winners' coachrandyjackson.com/blog/w… @Grandview_FB @GrandviewISD @CoachRPorter @CoachJacksonTPW @fastnwide

Missed the Leadership Academy Zoom? We broke down: • How to rebuild culture when standards exist—but no one enforces them • How to select the right players for a Leadership Council • How to structure meetings so players actually lead • How programs are using the Leadership Academy in-season and off-season This wasn’t theory. It was real problems coaches are dealing with right now. 🎥 Watch the full 48-minute recording here: youtube.com/watch?v=63Bh5pzt… @CoachBeck_PTF @coachluster2 @YeagerSpartanFB @Coach_Meador23 @jperry_nixa @RHPKares @BlueprintMP

ASSIGNMENT FOR YOUR TEAM: Have every player cover their eyes with one hand. Slowly turn them around a few times until you say “stop.” - Now tell them to point to True North. - Then have them uncover their eyes. - Hands will be pointing everywhere. Teams WANT to point in the same direction—but you have to GIVE them something clear to point at. I spoke with a Division I coach last week. Their program will add nearly 30 new players in January and another 20 in the summer. Culture is 100% year-to-year. It’s a January → December cycle. The only way a team points the same direction is with an intentional culture, led daily by 8–10 trained members of a leadership council and/or captains. That’s exactly what the Leadership Academy is built to do—equip your captains to align the team to your True North. 🎥 Watch the Leadership Academy Zoom Replay (48 minutes): youtu.be/63Bh5pztCnw coachrandyjackson.com/leader… @BlueprintMP @fastnwide
