Watching the Blue Jays game. Vladdy’s just not “back-legging” or “back-hipping”balls. His forward move is delaying his barrel from snapping in place. He sees the ball, knows it’s drivable, but his move causes the bat to lag. Keeps him from getting the barrel to the 🎯. Agree?

I’m glad College baseball is back. So many great games but, the two matchups I’ve truly enjoyed watching are:
-Cincinnati vs Duke
-Ohio State vs. Arizona State.

Accelerate the barrel ‘down the back’, behind a stretched/twisted rear leg, by torso tilt and rearward hand/forearm snap.
Do not take the bat forward with your upper body. That’s the rear leg’s job.
When its flat behind you, you’re done. No more force is applied.
Instant. Sudden. Rearward.
