A reminder that 5.5 million Palestinians who are not citizens but live under Israeli occupation and subjugation, get zero say over who rules over them. 400,000 Palestinians in E Jerusalem as well.

If projections of 17 Knesset seats for Palestinian parties hold, Palestinian citizens could prove decisive in saving all Israelis from the catastrophe Netanyahu and his extremist ministers are inviting: endless wars, permanent apartheid, the ethnic cleansing of ALL Palestinians, and Israel’s transformation into a “super-Sparta.”
That possibility speaks to the enduring power of our struggle for Palestinian freedom.
We, whose basic rights have so long been denied, may help rescue the country from those who portray our very existence as a demographic threat, and routinely incite violence against us.
Our basic rights, equality, dignity, and freedom are not a threat.
They are the foundation of a shared future. And our freedom and safety are inseparable from yours.
Nowhere in the world can lasting peace, democracy, or security be built on another people’s subjugation, extermination, expulsion, or erasure.

I still cannot believe UK Lawyers for Israel pressured Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to remove artwork created by Palestinian children in Gaza.
Shame on the NHS for allowing it.
Their artwork was not a threat.
Imagine, adults bullying children. Revolting really.

The voter turnout for Palestinian citizens of Israel, in the face of unbelievable harassment, bullying, obstruction and incitement, is just phenomenal. Arab-majority parties are now potential kingmakers in Israel 👏

Oh, so accusing Jews of being Nazis is fine, as long as it's Jews you don't like.
“Nobody Wants This” star Tovah Feldshuh responds to Adam Brody’s comments last month, in which he called for a “Free Palestine” and said "put me down as thinking it’s a genocide":
“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild. It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator. I believe that the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world,” Feldshuh said. “Of course, Israel needs the United States, [but] the United States needs Israel, believe you me.”

This behavior from a US ambassador is horrible but an honest reflection of US supremacist sensibilities that fuel the empires actions around the world. Cuba is dignified as ever, speaking not just for itself but for all the sanctioned, colonized & subjugated.

"Q. How democratic is the Israeli vote – and who is being disenfranchised?
A: About 15 million people live in areas under Israeli control. Just over 7 million Jewish Israelis and 1.7 million Palestinian citizens of Israel live within the country’s pre-1967 borders, known as the “green line”, and have full voting rights.
In the occupied West Bank, more than 500,000 Israeli settlers can vote. They live among 3.1 million Palestinians who are subject to military rule and do not have the right to vote.
In occupied East Jerusalem more than 230,000 Israelis with voting rights live among 350,000 Palestinians who cannot vote.
Two million Palestinians in Gaza, who live under Israeli military occupation, according to the international court of justice, also have no vote."

A message to those who still believe that it all started on October 7. No, it didn't. A 'managed genocide', to keep 1.5 million Palestinians "on the edge of life" was in force years before. Read the latest report by Eyal Weizman:
"A military document called ‘Red Lines’ set the minimum number of calories required to sustain Gaza’s population at a level just above the UN definition of hunger (2100 calories a day for men, 1700 for women and a varying amount for children depending on gender and age). The total number of calories was translated into the tonnage required to feed Gaza’s then population of 1.5 million and thus the number of aid trucks allowed into the territory. The same went for megawatts of electricity and litres of fuel and water. What was seen as good behaviour was rewarded by an increase in the amounts coming in, any acts of resistance by the tightening of the siege, like a population-scale version of a Milgram experiment."

Five million Palestinians living under Israeli occupation cannot vote in today’s Israeli elections. Yet the government those elections produce will wield power over their lives—and they will bear the horrific consequences of its decisions without any voice in choosing it.
This is the reality of 🇮🇱 apartheid: 59 years of 🇮🇱 military occupation, absolute power without accountability, without freedom, without justice or basic rights.
5 million Palestinians are denied a voice in their own future.

Russell Brand’s trial is devastating. Testimony describes him as a rabid animal, demanding sex every few hours from whoever happened to be around, and taking it regardless of consent
Brand’s defense is that women knew he was a degenerate maniac, so they should have expected it by being in a room with him (several allege he attacked them in public and tried to drag them into bathroom stalls)
This is separate from FIVE disturbing allegations in Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand has zero regard for women as human beings - I can’t even imagine how many victims there truly are
Blows my mind that so many people peddle his lunacy portraying him as a truth-telling martyr being smeared by the establishment - and buy his newfound religious hucksterism
Makes sense he’s leapt into the movement of sexual offenders and pedophiles, where he belongs (other than prison)
