Ok. This time, we're doing things differently.
Last time, I owned entirely too much stuff. Like a stupid amount of stuff.
This time, im gonna own hardly anything. Back to the college days when everything I owned fit in the trunk of my car.
A couple of decades ago, I noticed that, given the choice between two options, I'll always make the wrong decision.
So I tried to trick it and do the opposite of what I'd normally do.
Didn't work.
Its amazing.
College was 5.5 years. I had 8 roommates over that period. In all that time, I heard maybe 1 fart.
In the homeless shelter, it heard like 20 farts an hour. That's before I left my bay…
“Why don't people go to the homeless shelter?”
Cause there's no point dawg. Homeless shelter is a temporary solution. You're supposed to find permanent housing.
That's never gonna happen for some people, so why bother?
This is an excellent example of the difference between an NT and ND brain.
I took Omar's words literally. I didn't insert meaning that is not there. Lynne, on the other hand, is just making stuff up.
The point is, someone died in custody. The cause of death is irrelevant.
Failed elder sibling here. Can confirm. Its a f**king disaster.
I'm the tip of the spear. I should be leading the way. Not still depending on my grandparents for housing.
The immediate consequence is nobody has any money to maintain the family home. It's in shambles.
I KEEP BREAKING RULES!!
It's infuriating because like, bro. Im in here for a REASON. My brain DOES NOT WORK.
Like, I doubt id be homeless if I could do things like be where I'm supposed to be without having to set three cascading alarms as reminders.
I'm not 100% certain this is an ADHD thing.
I learned recently that there is a structure in your brain that is responsible for transporting memories from short term to long term storage.
I'm wondering if that structure is just damaged from birth in certain individuals.
People give me food because they assume im starving.
Im fine actually. In two months of living on the streets, i wasn't hungry once. I was bored though.
Turns out, shoving food in your face is quite entertaining when there is nothing else to do.
In an alternate universe where we don't throw away the EU, she'd make a great Ysanne Isard.
Hannah Waddingham desperately wants to be in a STAR WARS movie or show, maybe as Grogu’s mom.
“I need to be in any Star Wars. Anything with a lightsaber, without a lightsaber, with a double-ended lightsaber, with a mask, without a mask, wiping the screen, sweeping up. Playing one of those characters with a big long nose or like one eye falling off or anything, Jon Favreau. What about Grogu’s mom? I am obsessed with Star Wars.”

Absolutely. Never quit!
One year, you could be a six figure consultant. The next, you could be living on the street! You never know!
(You need to learn to quit. It's an essential life skill.)
Did you share a computer?!?!
The computer was MINE.
Nobody else knew how to work the bloody thing besides me anyway.
Remember when the whole family shared one computer, and the desk around it was always covered in stuff?
Stacks of burned CDs, printed emails, school papers, random cables, and a digital camera that someone needed to upload pictures from.
And somehow, everyone in the house had their own files scattered across that computer.
You'd spend 20 minutes digging through My Documents trying to find something you knew you saved somewhere.
That one computer really was the center of everything.
If you're in your 30s and you've never had a long term relationship, you may want to stop and consider why that is.
Life is zooming by. You're not participating in a basic human experience.
I want you to consider the idea that maybe you're supposed to be alone, and that's ok.
