I didn't realise you were doing SMD - bit more tricky! Do you have some flux as well? Tweezers definitely a good call.
I bought a stash of eutectic 63/37 (leaded) solder a few years ago and expect it to outlast me...! We have a decent Tenma meter at work - same OEM Tom is recommending I think. I like them with temperature (type K) and USB (data logging) but may be overkill...
