When you want to use restriction remember all the other (actually effective) de-stressing tools you can use... rest, gardening, meditation, a walk, a bath, reading, funny films, deep breathing, a pleasurable activity, journaling... the list goes on. Restriction doesn’t have to.

This is a powerful message from the international sporting community that we will not tolerate Putin's abhorrent assaults on freedom and liberty. Well done FIFA and UEFA.

Switzerland🇨🇭 is appalled by the conflict in Ukraine but will support EU sanctions rather than impose its own.
This thread makes me so sad and feel a lot of it as a mid fat.

I refuse to live a small life because you’re uncomfortable with my body size.
Identifying high calorie food items that can provide much needed energy is surely the goal, rather than items with as little energy as possible? For promoting fully functioning metabolisms that is. Evolutionarily speaking the other approach is kind of dumb!
So... asked the husband to pick me up buttons yoghurts for puddings this week. He brought me chocolate buttons in a bag and Greek yoghurt. I mean, I’ll eat them but yeah.... 😂
If you’re eating a lot of chocolate, biscuits or dense and calorific things right now that could be emotional eating. But that doesn’t mean you are over eating. Emotions are draining and require energy. So, food with high calories would be a good solution for that.
If you have an eating disorder, you have anxiety when you take away the food focus. Finding ways to calm yourself is key. Restriction serves a calming purpose - despite the many, many health dangers, acknowledging the purpose it serves can help to overcome it.

There’s so much conversation about how unhealthy it is to be fat but I want to hear more conversation about how unhealthy it is to experience weight stigma on a regular basis.
Cravings are there to tell you your body is desperately needing food. It isn’t boredom, psychological or greed.

Love how @channel4 and @DrMichaelMosley have engaged with stakeholders' legit concerns about how #loseastonein21days might harm viewers with #eatingdisorders, and the comprehensive and compassionate response provided.
Not.

So honest. So real. So scary. So sad: This is why we need to fight gov obesity/diet campaigns & the crazy idea to weigh children at school to check they’ve lost “lockdown weight” We don’t want this happening to others-especially kids-when we know what hell it is #eatingdisorders

Treating fat people like their body is a disease is traumatic. Knowing that the world sees you as broken, damaged, inferior and lazy is dehumanizing.
I see many of you fighting for rights for those with eating disorders but don’t stand up to harmful ob*sity messaging. Not okay.
