Midnight biking. Cool air, empty trails, and best of all: It is the time of the crazy people. One never knows what one might see. Midnight on a bike, you can see the backside of the city.

Back in 2004, I went to the Libertarian Party convention in Atlanta, and after the long weekend decided that I would not join. The people who run it are just too removed from the rest of the movement and the rest of the society. They didn't give shit about Iraq! the most important thing in the world at the time. Hardly heard of it apparently. Didn't know how horrible it would look invite hawks to give speeches. Just facepalm. I tried advising the LP presidential nominee that year. That reinforced the same lesson: This is not worth the effort. I have more important things to do. A few years ago, I finally joined the LP at the urging of my friends who were working to take the party over in the name of the actual American libertarian movement, as exemplified by the thinking and writing of Dr. Ron Paul, especially. The real point was to get the party together before we ran Dave Smith for president, which he thankfully in retrospect decided not to do. Well, at the last convention the libertarians didn't show up, only the Libertarians. So, a gay porn producer and new wave haircut lady and their crew took the party back over. It really sucks because there are so many good people in the party who work very hard and fight good fights. But the organization itself, as a democracy, is just completely retarded and it always will be. Today a friend sent me screenshots of these degenerate scum -- specifically the LP of San Francisco -- claiming the right to hurt children because they think freedom means getting away with being a piece of shit and violating the rights of helpless victims. Send in the SWAT Team. It's a foregone conclusion that the party leadership will do nothing about this. The LP always has been and remains a disaster for the good name of our movement. They'll probably run that filth Joe Walsh for president next time. He fits right in there. So I hereby officially resign from the Libertarian Party, and will instead continue to fight for liberty by other means.

SpaceX's Raptor 3 is taking rocket engineering to an entirely different level Compared with the legendary RS-25, Raptor 3 delivers 34% more thrust while weighing 57% less, giving it over 3× the thrust-to-weight ratio To put it simply, SpaceX built an engine that's smaller, weighs less than half as much, and yet packs even more thrust than NASA's much larger RS-25. It's really hard to comprehend how much engineering went into achieving this And what's even more impressive is that SpaceX achieved all of this with a radically simplified engine designed for mass production and rapid reuse This is the engineering revolution powering Starship

On Lindsey Graham. Stay with me on this. The worst kept secret in Washington DC came out today because 3 brave men came out and told the truth and it doesn’t matter if it is after he’s dead. Brave? Yes brave. Why are they brave? They had to go on camera and tell intimate details of their personal lives. To the world. That is extremely difficult to do. Yes it’s brave. And Stressful. They walked into the public square opening themselves to the opinions of the entire world. No matter your opinion on the issue, they took a courageous leap in coming forward. If you are critical, would you go on camera and tell your secrets to the entire world? I would bet a lot of money you wouldn’t. Ok but there is more to this. Because this is the world I saw up close in Washington. I saw behind the curtain and saw ALL the wizards. Everyone in the highest levels of power in Washington DC are keeping secrets that would destroy their entire lives. And that’s exactly why they have power. Not because they are so smart or qualified or the best choice for leadership. I mean really, if you think our best and brightest are in charge then do some critical thinking and look at the pathetic state of our debt, our dollar, and how our government is run, and the outcome that affects your life. Their secrets are the only reason these people rise to the top. Because their secrets are not secrets. We all knew Lindsey Graham was gay. Everyone did. Their secrets are levers of control. Keeps them in line. Makes them a team player. And will make them fight the hardest on issues that don’t make sense in order to keep their secrets just that. Secrets. So everyone is arguing about how this is old news, why now? Or arguing about being gay, and gay issues. Or arguing because that’s what everyone does on the internet, just argue with each other and with bots about issues they don’t have the real truth on, but throw out their strongest opinion anyways. I’m here to tell you the granular issue you need to dial in on and block out the rest of the noise. Three gay men just bravely pulled back the curtain and tried to teach you all the most important lesson America needs to learn. It’s this. America’s most powerful leaders keep secrets that comprise them in the most dangerous ways for the security, safety, and prosperity of our nation. That’s the whole point. I tried my hardest to fight the entire system on both sides of the aisle and couldn’t beat it because YOU ALL keep voting these people back into office and back into power. By the way, I always cosponsored the Term Limit bill and no matter who is in charge, Pelosi, McCarthy, or Johnson, Dem or Rep, that bill never ever got even close to getting a vote on the House floor. So the question for you, The American People, is are you able to learn the lesson and if so, what exactly are YOU going to do about it? Ask yourself, what are you voting for? Donating to? Volunteering for? And are you really satisfied with the outcome election cycle after election cycle?

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Virginia after police showed up at a mother’s home at 2 A.M. and TOWED HER CAR over a SH00TING she had NOTHING to do with... ...because a FLOCK CAM pointed them to the WRONG CAR!!! Now her car is a TOTAL LOSS and she MIGHT LOSE HER JOB!!!! Yes, you read that right, a Flock camera got it wrong, the cops took her car ANYWAY, and she’s the one paying for it. Her name is Rosalyn Crump, she’s a mom raising 3 boys in Richmond VA On July 29th, just before 2 in the morning, Richmond police officers showed up outside her home on Sussex Street. She was ASLEEP, but someone woke her up and told her police were outside and her car was being towed. Police say the Flock system had linked her 2012 Hyundai Elantra to a sh00ting near Gilpin Court and body camera footage shows the officers shining flashlights through her windows. At one point, one of them seemed to doubt they even had the right car. They noticed her KIDS’ CAR SEATS were buckled in the back, but they towed it anyway. Rosalyn came outside and told them flat out: “Y’all got the wrong car.” She told them she’d been at her mom’s house all day, came home at 4, and waited for her kids to get off the bus at 5. Nobody had driven her car. An officer decided her story didn’t match the Flock data and said on camera that she was, “definitely not telling the truth.” Minutes later, Seibert’s Towing hauled her car away. If you think that was insane... well, IT GETS WORSE. About FOUR DAYS later, she finally got a phone call. Her car had been released FOUR HOURS after they took it... because police had already found the person they were actually looking for. NOBODY FROM THE POLICE TOLD HER!!!!! When she went to get her car back, she found it DAMAGED from the tow. The towing company’s VP admitted fault in writing. Then the claim went to insurance, and the company said it could no longer settle with her directly. Her mechanic’s verdict: TOTAL LOSS. Richmond police now admit Flock cameras led them to the wrong vehicle. Meanwhile, Rosalyn has lost wages, can’t get to work on time, and is paying for a RENTAL CAR out of her own pocket just to get her boys where they need to go. She literally did nothing wrong and was home with her kids. THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!

FREE BRIAN COLE JR!!!
In light of @SteveBakerUSA’s new CCTV video which appears to exonerate Brian Cole Jr, I sent a letter to @FBIDirectorKash & DOJ today, requesting they immediately review the video, release Mr. Cole, and conduct a J6 pipe bomb investigation to include police & other officials.

I genuinely don’t care whether the person who figures out how to reverse aging becomes the richest human in history. If the treatment actually works and eventually becomes accessible to everyone, they can buy themselves a golden fucking spaceship for all I care. I’d prefer another century of life over another lecture about billionaires.

Thomas Massie responds to media when asked about the latest developments on the Epstein Files: “You know, if this were a private law firm with 5% of the resources of the DOJ, this would have been done by the deadline. And they just missed another deadline, which is the report to Congress, which is supposed to list all the politicians that are in their files, and also they’re supposed to justify all the redactions 15 days after the first 30-day window. But the biggest problem isn’t that they’re missing the deadlines—it’s what they’re redacting. So they’re citing the Privacy Act and they’re trying to pretend like that overrides a law that we just passed that says you can’t withhold records to prevent embarrassment. They’re also citing FOIA standards which don’t apply to our law when they’re trying to say that they don’t have to release internal decisions, but our bill specifically says release internal decisions.” The victims will NEVER see justice. And the saddest part? These perpetrators are still out there raping, trafficking and murdering children.

Ordinary people. Its not even close. Big tech has its own models. Startups can pay for an API. A guy with 1 used RTX 3090 and a slow internet connection has only 1 thing: weights he can download. Open weights are what let him run a 177B model at home, fix it, uncensor it and share it with 100,000 people the next week. I know, because I did exactly that. The biggest companies benefit too. Thats fine. But they would survive without open weights. We wouldnt.
who benefits more from open weights: ordinary people, startups or the biggest technology companies?

Is it just me, or have others noticed the same pattern? When people become extremely rich, some of them start building rockets, exploring the universe, and searching for answers to humanity’s biggest questions. Now imagine a world where artificial intelligence provides absolutely everything everyone needs, and billions of people have complete freedom, without the fear of what tomorrow will bring or the struggle to survive. A world full of people hungry to explore, discover the universe, and find answers to humanity’s deepest questions. That’s when humanity will reach the next level of its evolution.

I genuinely don’t understand why people are so offended by the idea of someone with zero artistic talent being able to create something beautiful using AI. Since when did creativity become an exclusive club where you need years of training just to be allowed in? Sounds a lot like gatekeeping to me.

I feel compassion for those who's life work has been overtaken by AI. Perhaps I'll have this reaction one day. Let's not mock them. And: Mathematics isn't a jobs program for mathematicians. Advances in math are good, independent of the source. We need to find ways to adapt.
Fields medallist Hugo Duminil-Copin was deeply shaken by OpenAI’s release of more than 700 AI-generated mathematical manuscripts, including work on 16 questions directly relevant to his research. “On Tuesday night, I cried, and it woke up my daughter” “They have annihilated my field of research.” lemonde.fr/sciences/article/…

A tech creator reversed the playbook on the police state: he built an off-the-shelf ALPR mesh to track cruisers the exact same way Flock monitors everyday drivers. When officers showed up at his door demanding to know what he planned to do with all that intimate location data, he hit them with the ultimate mirror: "That’s funny. That’s the exact same question we’ve been asking you." Mass surveillance is a two-way street.
