How can @CineplexMovies get rid of ALL afternoon movies in #Ottawa?? Nothing starting until 3pm anymore. You need at least ONE theatre doing them to pretend you deserve your virtual monopoly.

Good catch by Lucas Cavanagh on @TheBigPic for catching a rare oversight by @SeanFennessey, discussing the filmmography of Jon Watts. Yes, his actual feature film debut was CLOWN (2014), produced by Eli Roth and shot in #Ottawa. Even worse than WOLFS (2024), if you can believe it

How does a British film win - and even qualify - for the International People's Choice award at a Canadian film festival? We share the same King. Based on these stupid categories, @TIFF_NET, would rather we share the same President.

Quick thoughts on 2026 Canadian Screen Award nominations: BLACKBERRY got 17 noms in '24, but NIRVANNA got just 8 this time, which feels like unfair overcorrection. No director nod for Johnson? And no editing nod for most inventive and complex cutting of a film in ages? C'mon guys
