Final Fantasy Resonance is my game of the week, this week. The demo left me very confident and excited for what’s to come on release day. Almost there! @FinalFantasy
I finally checked out the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. I was excited for the game before but after spending 9 hours roaming around, the polish, the charm and the overall style further convinced me this is going to be a must play. Check out my demo impressionsšŸ‘‡šŸ½ @FinalFantasy youtu.be/wYbv4LXjbn0?is=sRPe…

It’s impressive how far along this game was. I can only imagine how differently we would be talking about this now, if they had shared their progress with the fans along the way through mini docs, art work, character reveals... Two things need to happen, that many developers are still not doing. Is keeping their head down to do the work, WHILE bringing your fan base along for the ride. That provides content that keeps your game in the conversation while you work on it. In an industry of gamers, AAA still hasn’t figured out how this social media game is being played.
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe. Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development. • Set 600+ years after the Reaper War • You play as a customizable N7 agent • Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond • Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending • A galaxy divided into three major factions • Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together • Council races forming their own alliance • The Geth emerging as a third superpower • A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary • Geth-built megastructures • Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda • Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference • Hacking and manipulating the environment • See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more • Handcrafted missions like ME1-3 • But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them • Brutal close-range executions • Squadmates who can clash with each other • Romance wasn't being sanitised • Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist. It looked incredible. And now we may never get to play it. Find out more here: youtu.be/ZOWrTNazZxM #SaveMassEffect

Final Fantasy Resonance: Ramuh & the Mom Bomb One thing I really like about playing this game so far, is the pacing. From story beat to dungeons, there's always a new Vision to pickup, an interesting side quest, a summon to prove your strength towards, and the story beats also just keep things moving at pretty quick pace. There's something about this pacing I appreciate, and makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

It’s understated how appreciative it is to see a team that listens to their fanbase. Also would love to see this team acquire the Mass Effect IP. Would be a full circle moment.

My God…I don’t get excited for CG trailers like I used to, but this looked good. Plus, it looks like Liara would’ve been back… They should’ve posted this trailer when it was finished…I hope the franchise can still be salvaged in some way.
A trailer from the now cancelled Mass Effect 5 universe has leaked online. They actually nailed the vibes here... this could've been so good man.

We're excited to welcome @BonafideXP as our newest RLC Indie Games Advocate šŸ‘Š Here's what he had to say about supporting indie developers: "I think strongly that indie games and developers are going to be the backbone of our industry over the next decade. We need their passion to tell stories, their dedication towards creativity and their smaller footprint to show this industry doesn’t need the AAA level budgets to show success." Welcome aboard, sir! 🫔

The Mass Effect trilogy to date is one of my favorite series in gaming ever made. It elevated the Sci-fi genre for me, to heights I never saw in this industry. I will always celebrate the greatness that this trilogy brought to gaming, despite a divisive ending… @bioware

Jesus. The end of BioWare, the end of Dragon Age, Mass Effect. Some of the greatest games I’ve ever played as a kid growing up. To watch it crumble into what it has become the last 10+ years to now being shutdown… The writing has been on the wall, and it still just sucks.
BREAKING: Electronic Arts is cutting 400 jobs and shutting down BioWare, the legendary development studio behind Dragon Age and Mass Effect. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Valor Mortis: Eternal Guardsman (Caverns) I've found that I never block when I play this game, so I've been playing exclusively with the Rapier which removes my ability to block, but enhances my parries when I land them. Clutch. This makes dueling with these Eternal Guardsmen so much more interesting. Really loving this game.

Street Fighter 2026: Movie Impressions When it comes to video game movies, I always have tempered expectations and a low bar set; and I found this movie to be fun and mostly enjoyable. There are a handful of good comedic moments, the fights themselves were bone crunching albeit a bit too short. And the animated sections were phenomenal. I do think many of the characters could’ve had more screen time even for 2 hours, but the standout roles for me were Dhalsim, Ryu, Chun Li, and Akuma. Honda, Balrog and Bison were very solid. Wish we saw more of them. Guile was the joke character surprisingly, more so than Dan, and Cammy felt more like Harley-Quinn. Both very disappointing. I put this movie on the level of Mortal Kombat 1995, and is now my second favorite Street Fighter movie adaptation. It’s cheesy fun, that had some hard hitting and fun moments; and never took itself too serious. If you walk into to this movie with high expectations, I think you’re doing yourself and the movie a disservice. Definitely adding this to the collection.

Sony put the clamps on too hard for too many things gamers enjoy, they forgot that gamers are actually tech savvy enough to find the things they want through alternate means. Sony is going to learn the hard way before they realize this is a losing battle.
I never thought I'd see the day Bloodborne coming out for PC would come, but here we are an unofficial PC Port that Sony refused to do is now available > It has controller remapping > graphics settings > DLSS and FSR support > FPS and resolution are also unlocked Ironic that this is the best way to play Bloodborne for now

The new look at 1.0 for No Rest for the Wicked looks incredible. The new Class system looks like a ton of fun, Factions also; and Cerim Cores is looking to add some nice flexibility. If this was what the delay was for, I think it will be more than worth it. @thomasmahler
It has been nothing short of incredible to read through all the excitement and feedback about the Wicked Inside. 1.0 is for you. 🤟 Watch again on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=9M236rDA… Get your hands on the Class System in our Open Beta, landing in December. #WickedInside #ClassSystem #NoRestForTheWicked

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Boss: Joan of Arc Weapon: Cestus If you told me I’d be fighting Joan of Arc in a Castlevania game, I would never believe you. And in this encounter, even Rose had to come to terms with this reality. A fun fight, but I’ve already found similarities in approach, between her and the previous boss. I’m looking forward to adding more moves to the arsenal so I can really vary up the way I fight these bosses. Aside from this noticeable pattern, I’m having a great time moving through the game.

Valor Mortis: The Flame Maybe it' s just me, but if some random carcass grabs and starts trying to infuse my arm with flame, I'm 11 times out of 10 going to be yelling every word I know in the book WHILE slashing it with the sword I have in my right hand... Not gonna get me that easy...

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse I’ve been a Castlevania fan since Symphony of the Night which introduced me to the franchise back in 1997. Since then, I’ve played almost every Castlevania title that’s come out, and loved every one of them for varying reasons. Belmont’s Curse sold me on the demo, and I’m ready to see how the full release does.

Warhammer 40K Space Marine II: The Pledge I started playing Space Marine II again. Its incredible how much this takes me back to the Xbox 360 era when gaming was at an all time peak. I don't think we'll ever truly appreciate how good that time was... This intro here still fills me to the brim with that hyper masculine, alpha centric energy we don't see nearly as much in games. Gears of War had that once, and the last decade I've seen it slowly wither into a shell of its former self; catering to a "modern audience" while slowly ignoring the audience that put them on the map. 9 times out of 10, when I'm looking for a new franchise of games to check out, I learn how awesome it is through the gamers that love it. The hint this industry so often fails to realize right now when it comes to increasing its install base, is that you have to double down on catering to your install base. Make the franchise so good, that your strongest supporters bring new people into the fold simply through conversation and sharing the experience. The worst thing you can do in sales, is offer your core audience something they never asked for, or worse, abandon them altogether.

Valor Mortis: 3 Parries, 3 Finishers I really like seeing small teams follow through on a vision, and try something new. The demo to @ValorMortis was an awesome time and with its official release I’m looking forward to experiencing the game in full.
