This is a photo taken from my living room window in Long Beach, New York. What you are seeing is not a cloud. It was the smoke that rose after the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers, some 30 miles away. For some reason, I wrote the date that picture was taken on the back of it: October 5, 2001. Almost a month later.
How did America forget so quickly? How did New York City? We should be furious that 25 years later, the Mayor of New York City, a man who openly celebrated what happened on Sept. 11, 2001, will be speaking to family members of the beloved who were lost, and others who still grieve that day.
I truly hope that every American, and every New Yorker, and especially all the families present, will rise as one, turn their backs on the Mayor as he begins to speak, and in unison start to sing
our National Anthem,
God Bless America
New York, New York
or anything they like, and loud enough to hear it in the Bronx and Jersey, until he stops mocking all of us by just being there.
We promised we'd never forget. We dishonor them, and ourselves, if we do.
God Bless America, and God bless and protect New York City.🇺🇸🍎🗽

So, basically, 500 million Europeans expect 300 million Americans to protect them from 120 million Russians who can’t even defeat 40 million Ukrainians while those 500 million Europeans don’t even realize they are being conquered by 2 billion Muslims who claim they are being persecuted by 8 million Israelis. Is that about right?

Philosopher and author Maarten Boudry posted a powerful monologue on X about the riots in Europe: “Before long, we will all know what it feels like to be Jewish. Soon, we will all know what it feels like to be Jewish. In France, they already know. This will be the punishment we deserve for abandoning the Jews, ignoring their warnings, turning against them, and even marching alongside their oppressors.”
“For three years, you useful idiots have marched with Palestinian flags, worn keffiyehs, screamed ‘From the river to the sea,’ and recognized a fictitious Palestinian state as a reward for Hamas’s October 7 massacre (yes, I’m looking at you, Emmanuel Macron). You boycotted the world’s only Jewish state, demonized the Jewish people’s right to self-determination (known as ‘Zionism’), and spread the blood libel of ‘genocide in Gaza.’”
“Did you think that if you fed the crocodile enough Jewish flesh, it would eventually be satisfied? All you did was strengthen the monster and whet its appetite even more.”
“So you were worried about ‘colonialism’? Look around. The only things suffering from colonialism here are our Western cities. The Palestinian flag has become a flag of victory, proudly flown among the ruins of historic buildings that have been looted and vandalized, a symbol of hatred toward our culture and everything it represents. It never ends with the Jews...”

Captain Smith Machar, the Indian pilot of the FlyDubai flight, is being hailed as one of the day’s heroes.
After reportedly being stabbed by the Omani co-pilot, who was allegedly attempting to crash the aircraft, Captain Smith managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers to intervene and help prevent a catastrophe.
He is the man seen in the video (full of blood), as Israelis desperately work to keep him alive.
Captain Smith is currently hospitalized in Saudi Arabia. Prayers for his swift and complete recovery. His courage and presence of mind may have saved countless lives.

Neria Leiter, son of Israel's Ambassador to the US, was critically injured today in a car-ramming attack.
His older brother Moshe was killed fighting in Gaza in 2023.
This family has now given two sons to defend Israel.

It was Careers Day, and every child dressed up as what they wanted to be when they grew up.
The maintenance man was his idol.
Before the world changed forever.
Why did I save a t-shirt for 26 years?
Because I'm a New Yorker.
God Bless America🇺🇸🍎🗽🇺🇸

Josephine Harris was 59, a Port Authority bookkeeper with a bad leg, walking down from the 73rd floor of the North Tower on September 11.
By the time the firefighters of Ladder
Company 6 found her in the stairwell, she was exhausted and crying.
They had just been ordered out.
The other tower was already gone.
They did not leave her.
Firefighter Bill Butler put her arm over his shoulder.
“Josephine,” he said, “we’re going to get you out of here today.”
Their pace became hers.
Lower down she collapsed and told them to go on without her.
They refused.
Then the North Tower fell.
Stairwell B held.
The building peeled away around them.
Fourteen people survived in that pocket: firefighters, a Port Authority officer, and Josephine.
People who had passed them on the stairs did not.
The men of Ladder 6 called her their guardian angel.
They believed she slowed them just enough.
Without her they would have been lower when it came down.
Without them, she would not have made it out.
When she died years later, those firefighters carried her coffin.
One of them named a daughter after her.
She was not trying to save anyone.
She was a tired woman who could not walk any faster.
That was enough.
