BookwormGlobal

Are screens changing the way we read? New data released this week found that reading performance among 15-year-olds has fallen to low levels. At Bookworm Global, we've spent years working to put books into children's hands. But access is only the beginning.

4 in 10 children worldwide are not reaching minimum proficiency in reading. As we approach #InternationalLiteracyDay, we're reminded why access matters. Every child deserves books, encouragement and the opportunity to become a reader. 📚❤️

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. ❤️📚 She wasn’t just a legendary singer and songwriter. She was a great champions of childhood literacy, putting millions of books into children’s hands. Her legacy will live on in every child who opens a book and discovers a world of possibility.
