If the compromise for trains and density is data centers, Flock cameras and a bloated police budget I am not on that side

It's been so eye-opening to see "progressives" completely gloss over Nithya's complete turn around on the supposed principles on which she ran the first time and got her elected. If you needed any further proof that YIMBY is how fascism infiltrates "the Left", this is it
All the dumbest people are endorsing Karen Bass
Take it from Councilwoman Imelda Padilla, Los Angeles needs a mayor who is willing to work with every City Councilmember to deliver lasting results for Angelenos.
I’m committed to working together with our city leaders and constituents to keep moving Los Angeles forward and ensure our city is ready for the 2028 Olympics!
Make your plan to vote now and get your ballot in on or before Election Day on November 3rd!

“doesn't like police…”
Nithya has voted “for” the police budget in 5 of her 6 years. She voted to increase the number of LAPD to 9,500. She voted to give new hires $15,000 signing bonuses (which personally disgusts me).
Claiming Nithya doesn’t like the police is just a lie.
I ask @KarenBassLA about voters who supported @RickCarusoLA & @spencerpratt and don't like her performance...but are worried about @nithyavraman?
Bass: "Vote for me! You know what you're getting!"
Me: "They would say that they don't like what they've gotten?"
Bass: "It's a binary choice here. You can go with the unknown. The inexperienced. The new to L.A. The person who is OK with encampments being in front of schools and doesn't like police. Or you can go with the leader who is tried, true, honest...who has made mistakes, absolutely made mistakes but is ready to continue to lead."

Does the DSA-LA acknowledge that Hugo purposely pushed the 41.18 vote to set a trap against Nithya to help Bass?
When Hugo was first elected in 2022, he said he would NOT remove 41.18 zones. He didn’t push this vote during his first term. It wasn’t until he was reelected and right before Nithya’s debate against Bass that Hugo then forced the vote on 41.18 — handing Bass her talking point.
People think that just because both Nithya and Hugo are DSA that they’re total allies. All you have to do is look at who Hugo endorsed to know the DSA alliance is all a facade.

Soto-Martínez (and the crowd) are enthusiastic about the early results. Soto-Martínez is handing out “taco tickets” to supporters.
One of the major contentions is approach to the unhoused. Soto-Martínez says he won’t enforce 41.18 but won’t commit to removing the previous zones.

An average sized car produces approximately 160,000 times more road wear than an average bicycle.
100kg bicycle and rider
2000kg car
Car is 20x weight of bicycle
Damage ratio: Fourth power law
20 to the power 4 = 160,000
Very roughly.

Lo diré una y mil veces. Hay que ser un puto desgraciado, traidor y rastrero para ser policía
Lmfao good luck to everyone
Councilwoman Ysabel Jurado and I both understand how important immigrant justice is to our city. We stand with immigrant workers, small business owners, and community leaders across Los Angeles because everyone deserves to feel supported and valued, no matter where they were born.
Thank you Ysabel, for standing with me and working alongside me every step of the way. When we vote, we win!

personally, i think the student loan crisis is Biden's true domestic legacy. Trump may be running a barely controlled demolition on the economy but Biden set a generation of lame ducks up through massive bungling when he could have done loan forgiveness through an executive order
US to begin the largest wage and asset seizure in history after the midterm elections; seizures will target 10 million students in student loan default. $COF $BAC $WFC $JPM

10 ans de Macron, voilà à quoi ressemble un jeudi matin dans le pays des droits de l’homme. Vivement la fin.

France is tear gassing kids singing (they tear gassed 500 musicians playing in an orchestra a few days ago). This is French barbarism on display (facism) and they must be internationally condemned for this violence against these kids

There's an indicator species for evaluating the safety of your urban infrastructure, and it's not middle-aged men on bikes. It's women, seniors, and kids feeling safe enough to ride in their everyday clothes.
Someone should make a version of this poster that makes her neck longer every day that she doesn't return LAPPL's dirty money
