BREAKING: Claude Code found 14,219 photos of my face on my Android that I never took. Phone was secretly taking them almost every time I picked it up. Even when I was just lying in bed. Even at home. Not screenshots. Real frames from the front camera. On the train. In the car. At home. When I just grabbed it to check the time. They were just sitting in a system cache. Timestamps and GPS on them. Nothing in Gallery. Nothing in Recently Deleted. Plugged the phone into my laptop, made a full backup, told Claude Code to look for any front-camera files that weren’t in my photos. It pulled /data/system/users/0/faceunlock/cache and another folder inside Google Play Services. Over 14 thousand files. Normal ones and infrared from Face Unlock. Every single one had time and location. Started scrolling. Almost everything from the last 15 months. Then I saw a file created 2 seconds ago. I was still looking at the folder. Phone kept taking photos while I was reading this. Google and the phone makers say Face Unlock turns everything into a mathematical model and deletes the image right away. On this phone the raw frames were just sitting there. Some of the processes writing to that folder were from system diagnostics. Couple of old apps that still had camera permission could also get in. Turned off diagnostics, revoked camera access from everything that doesn’t need it, cleared the cache. But how many of these frames already went somewhere else, I don’t know. If you want to check yours, plug it in, make a full backup or use ADB, and ask Claude to look for front-camera files outside your Gallery. Path above is where mine were.

In Israel, no single bloc needs an absolute majority of 61 seats to govern. The president tasks a leader (usually from the largest party) with forming a coalition, typically within 28 days plus a possible extension. If talks fail, another candidate gets a chance. Minority governments can form if they win a confidence vote with more yes than no votes. Persistent deadlock leads to new elections, with the outgoing government staying on as caretaker.

Back in 2004, I went to the Libertarian Party convention in Atlanta, and after the long weekend decided that I would not join. The people who run it are just too removed from the rest of the movement and the rest of the society. They didn't give shit about Iraq! the most important thing in the world at the time. Hardly heard of it apparently. Didn't know how horrible it would look invite hawks to give speeches. Just facepalm. I tried advising the LP presidential nominee that year. That reinforced the same lesson: This is not worth the effort. I have more important things to do. A few years ago, I finally joined the LP at the urging of my friends who were working to take the party over in the name of the actual American libertarian movement, as exemplified by the thinking and writing of Dr. Ron Paul, especially. The real point was to get the party together before we ran Dave Smith for president, which he thankfully in retrospect decided not to do. Well, at the last convention the libertarians didn't show up, only the Libertarians. So, a gay porn producer and new wave haircut lady and their crew took the party back over. It really sucks because there are so many good people in the party who work very hard and fight good fights. But the organization itself, as a democracy, is just completely retarded and it always will be. Today a friend sent me screenshots of these degenerate scum -- specifically the LP of San Francisco -- claiming the right to hurt children because they think freedom means getting away with being a piece of shit and violating the rights of helpless victims. Send in the SWAT Team. It's a foregone conclusion that the party leadership will do nothing about this. The LP always has been and remains a disaster for the good name of our movement. They'll probably run that filth Joe Walsh for president next time. He fits right in there. So I hereby officially resign from the Libertarian Party, and will instead continue to fight for liberty by other means.

I understand that the market is expecting a hawkish pause from the FOMC, but my view is Warsh risks credibility in doing so. Here is what he has said by date: July 14, 2026: “And we share a resolute commitment to restoring price stability.” August 28, 2026: “Price stability is not self-executing, nor is inflation necessarily mean-reverting. It is the Fed’s job to deliver stable prices.” September 16, 2026: “Today’s policy action will support a timelier return to the Committee’s 2 percent goal. This Committee will deliver price stability.” September 16, 2026: “shows our resolve to achieve price stability on a timelier basis.” October 16, 2026: “We made very clear that we would deliver price stability, and we removed a dose of accommodation about a month ago.”

We just finished our study committee to address school violence toward teachers and staff. This bi-partisan committee put together recommendations that were applauded by stakeholders. I want to thank the members of the committee for their work and those that came forward to share their experiences and expertise. The safety of teachers, staff and students is always my priority.
