Evan's lofty ambition for Specs is tantamount toward displacing our phones. The current version of Specs has zero shot of that. Next gen will need to be cheaper and look better. Even then - its a moonshot - but one that I think can get some investor interest today. Giving up 20% today for a needed capital infusion that can make Evan's ambition even 20% more probable is worth it. If Specs turns into something that is worth $50B some day then SNAP investors will have more upside than they know what to do with. The impractical thing would be to keep doing what we've done for 10 years and expect a different outcome when the competition is fierce and the sentiment in the stock so bad. Snap can't even hang onto key executives for more than a few months. Single digit stocks limit strategic options. They need to do this, imho.
