Honestly Volk, Yan and Van are the only current UFC champs keeping my faith alive at the moment. Rest of the divisions are pretty much all inactive champs, injured champs, interim/vacant titles, champs who keep talking about retiring etc.

The footwork here is also very nice. Talbott knows how to position himself behind his jab. Figgy doesn't clock the angle change that lines up the right because he's occupied with the left hand It's all about tempo and initiative. No jab = no time to make more decisive moves

Would dearly like to see a pivot accompanying that lay back he does against the cross. He could have been punishing Pantoja's right hands from a deep angle and taken himself off-line for Pantoja's takedowns at the same time

People really underestimate how effectively a front-foot pivot defeats a straight right hand. And if you get behind your shoulder you're pretty safe from wider punches too. In my mind it's the single best way to defend a cross

I think a lot of you have absolutely zero idea how pervasive slang and language originating on 4chan actually is. The 2nd poster in this image has the name "cognitohazardous". The term Cognitohazard originates from the SCP fandom, which was founded on 4chan.
