What is happening with scroll is validating my approach to base:0xe57e601c06689d3e2bf7db7bebb14b4ff28400c6 . The thing is, we solved a non-trivial problem in regards to inference routing. Not all providers are located on the same network, customers are also not always on those networks. We abstract that complexity away for you so that you don't have to think about that when prompting.
There is also a looming AI censorship angle that many underestimate for now. Access to it should be a human right so the wealthy elite can't gatekeep frontier from the underclass to tear apart society at its seams.

.@mrdn_finance just met with a large web3 organization considering adopting our cross chain x402 payment solutions for their software. We will be able to share more at a later time. Pretty excited though!
THIS is the use case. @mrdn_finance
Stablecoins always felt like a side quest until ai agents entered the picture.
Your agent needs data or a model. Do you want it opening accounts and dealing with billing or just just connect and pay?
robinhood:0xbaabcb1800c539a58a46035d3982403a37fd6d5d Meridian is the rails for that. Pay per request in usdc via x402. No sign up, no kyc.
Agents settle directly.

I'm really happy with @mrdn_finance progress over the past year. We have been able to add 4 AI providers into the router. Each one has varying levels of decentralization. Some are very much so which includes peer to peer and TEE encryption. Our x402 facilitator has cross-chain technology. We are probably one of the only real facilitators with a real app in the market at this time. We are the only people capable of creating this router at this time due to the fact that customers and providers exist on different networks and we have solved a major user experience friction that typically happens in the crypto space.
Our current providers include:
*venice
*antseed
*dolphin pod (we are waiting on api docs)
*surplus intelligence
We have created cross-chain from solana to ethereum ecosystems as well. So with this system, a provider could be located on over a dozen of L2s and ethereum L1 and users can pay them from solana without having to configure much of anything at all. Providers could also exist on Solana and the users can exist inside the EVM ecosystems mentioned above.
Access to opensource AI is a human right. We want to keep it that way. We also want to enable more people to have access that otherwise would not. Down the road when agentic marketplaces are more prevalent, the same types of dynamics will apply. It is still very early for the space.
Another large initiative going on right now is our collaboration with Kleros. We are working on baking in disputes straight into x402 receipts and refund flows. We are actually very close to supporting refunds for escrow and instant tx. This system arbitrates with agents using machine oversight over other machines while keeping the ability to keep humans in the loop if necessary if the disputes languish through multiple escalations.
In the meantime, we will constantly be looking for new providers and building out tools for developers.

Meridian's decentralized inference router is only possible because for the past year, development has spent the time to build a crosschain router that supports x402 payments between the following networks.
Crosschain Supported:
Ethereum, Arc, Base, BSC, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, Unichain, Ink, Worldchain, HyperEVM, Monad, Robinhood, Solana, and Arc
Other networks are supported as well for in-chain transactions only:
Avalanche, Bot-chain, SEI, MegaETH, Tempo
The point being is.. After this was done, this opened up an entire new market for apps to interact and exchange without being isolated. This means agent marketplaces and even inference apps can now send and receive payments without restriction.
So what does this mean for Meridian's D.I.R ?
Essentially, without @mrdn_finance technology, it would not be possible to route to networks regardless of where the provider exists. This means that for providers, if you are located on networks above, you can now have 1 click customer experiences that exist on the network you are not located on. This opens up so many new doors and creates generalized access to opensource AI as a human right. Privacy is also a big thing too. Some of our providers are even fully peer to peer with TEE encryption like @AntSeed . We also don't screen chats like openrouter does. You will see in time as censorship hits harder, that decentralized payment infrastructure will be the last bastion of access to streamed tokens for AI inference if you are not hosting the weights yourself. This also means that any AI model that exists on hugging face can also be hosted and streamed by any of our providers. Antseed can very easily host Dolphin or Venice models. Right now, our system Also supports 5 Venice AI models along with hundreds of other choices.
If you know of any AI model hosts you think would benefit from receiving payments from networks they don't exist on, let us know!
