A THREAD:
Seamus Coleman was signed by Everton in Jan ‘09 at the age of 20.
He arrived in a quiet transfer window alongside Brazilian, Jô for a fee of £60k.
Expectations were far from high for the Irishman from Sligo Rovers described by manager Moyes as ‘Forrest Gump’. – at Fort Lauderdale, FL
Was interesting over the summer how Moyes explained to make Europe they broke the season down in to 4 game blocks & worked out the required points for each block
Let’s say that number is 61 (average Europa qualification) - that’s 1.6 a game & 6.4 points per block
Let’s track it
Can’t wait for today…Arsenal have lost only 6 of their last 45 league matches, yet if we get beat it’ll be because:
‘MoYes Is NegAtIve aNd nEvER StaRTed DibLiNg’.
Let’s just ignore the fact they have 850 million pounds worth of players on the pitch & are the current champions!
😳
Giants LB Tremaine Edmunds’ shoulder injury season-ending, per sources.
Another major blow for the Giants, who have already lost QB Jaxson Dart and OLB Brian Burns and a handful of other contributors to season-ending injuries.
Edmunds had played every defensive snap, helping rookie LB Arvell Reese’s acclimation to the NFL. Micah McFadden steps into Edmunds’ role. John Harbaugh has stated that the Giants have three starting ILB, so McFadden gets his shot.
This is my biggest point!
Why are we even expecting to compete for Europe with the smallest squad in the league, a board who won’t back him & everything else stated below:
I’ll tell you why… it’s because of the manager!
Nothing else.
Replying to @Bozzy18
And to end he took over a struggling football team who were consistently in the bottom half.
Since then he’s 15th in total spend when it comes to transfers and our wage bill is the 12th highest in the league.
Why would anyone expect more than a mid table finish?!
Also, when it comes to a ‘negative’ approach you all hate.
Tell me a team who wins consistently going toe to toe against better sides?
Because I can tell you Greece won a Euros, Porto a CL, Leicester a PL all by being ‘negative’ with there first aim being a clean sheet.
Moyes with youth is simple:
If you’re good enough you play! Armstrong is the example of that from last season to this.
You were all crying about Aznou not starting… he currently can’t get a game for bottom of the table Malaga & you wanted him starting Premier League games!
🤦♂️
No Howard Kendall then no!!
Who the fuck is Henry winter anyway
That’s enough internet for me already #Utft
Whilst his QBs have been:
Daniel Jones
Tommy DeVito
Drew Lock
Tim Boyle
Russell Wilson
Jaxson Dart
Jameis Winston
JJ McCarthy
LEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!
#NYG #Giants
Those referencing the 3-0 win last year in response to this were probably the ones cry arsing about him starting Keane & Tarky centre half that day with Jake at full back.
He also opted for McNeil over Dibling & left Armstrong on the bench.
Cry more about negative Moyes.
This upcoming weekend for example:
You and go toe to toe with Arsenal & you’ll likely lose. You can set up defensively & still lose
It’s the manager’s job to find the best way to cause an upset, however if Arsenal don’t underperform we won’t win because they are better than us
There is a really simple explanation as to why we lost to Chelsea. It’s not that the manager was negative or because we didn’t start George or Dibiling.
It’s the simple fact that Chelsea have better footballers than us and in football the better players will win 90% of the time.
