If you choose the goal, you also have to choose the work that comes with it.
If you want to be great, you don’t get to decide each day whether great effort is necessary.
You already made that decision when you set the goal.
If you commit to the goal, commit to the cost.

My new favorite @MLB player is Sal Frelick!
He’s not the best player on his team but he’s their LEADER and it’s obvious!
He’s an undersized guy who busts his ass on every play and even when he’s the HERO he praises his Rookie teammate.
Having a player like him on the team and in the clubhouse is more valuable than you can imagine.

FINAL: Memphis dominates Mississippi State, 75-58, in their second exhibition.
Tigers offense looked night and day from last season. Shot 50%+ from the FG (29-57) and 45% from 3PT (9-20). Only had 9 turnovers today.
Jayden Reid was dominant with 26 PTS and 4 AST.
HALF: Memphis is up 39-35 on Mississippi State at the half.
Tigers shooting 53% FG and 46% from 3PT, as their offense looks much improved from last season.
Jayden Reid playing excellent so far, leading all scorers with 14 PTS (6-8 FG, 2-3 3PT).
Some things to clean up, but pretty good half from Memphis.
I know we have lower expectations for the Grizz. But if they keep shooting like this and defending with pace, they’re going to be above .500 y’all.
